Location, “real oatmeal” for breakfast as well as above avg breakfast selections. Front desk staff friendly, helpful, genuine. Could see where family of 4 could stay with full refrigerator, dishes for 4, dishwasher, and microwave.
Ok cable TV would be only minor comment.

The town is charming and historic, with almost no litter.

The buildings are well maintained, and the variety of shops is pleasing. The two elements which diminished our enjoyment were the gay pride flags everywhere and the BLM signs. We were hoping to escape social justice warriors and political stances for a few days, but it was more prevalent in Shepherdstown than at home.

It has a quaint appearance, it is a collage town and the shops closed around 4. Wish there were more restaurants with full meals besides the Press Box that was pricy, but good. No place for breakfast in town. Tony's pizza was great. The towns people were friendly and accommodating. Loved all the history which was a surprise that we hadn't expected.
Our room was great with amazing views and balcony near the infinity pool. Long wait times for check-in. No availability for restaurants except room service. It appears to be aging property and probably low staffed due to COVID-19. Many complaints of no a/c, no phone service, no TV working etc. The women’s bathrooms at pool were unacceptable for any human to use…beyond disgusting.
Absolutely beautiful property, situated in the historic Shepherdstown. The amenities were wonderful! I was particularly a fan of the jacuzzi, fireplace, and view from the deck attached to the room. The restaurant was to die for, as well. I enjoyed the pate, spaetzle, and the Eggs Benedict room service in the morning sent straight up to our room.
The views were exceptional and there were numerous areas to sit outside and enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The grounds were unique and the grill room and tent dining area were especially nice
The view from our room was exceptional. The staff was very polite, professional and easy to converse with. The bed was nice - appeared to be fairly new as it did not sag in the middle. The fireplace was delighful
The staff and food was exceptional during our stay. The newly renovated dining area and grounds were beautiful as was the pool area. The town is quaint and the restaurants in town were wonderful.
We really enjoyed many of the amenities at the inn and hope to return again. Our room was nice. We enjoyed the infinity pool, as well as the German cuisine in the restaurant.
We had a great night! It was very relaxing. Large, comfortable and clean room. Loved the vibe of the brew pub and had a nice dinner in the Rathskeller.
