The perfect tiny house near Eglisstadir- we loved it! Beautiful location, cosy house with a wood fireplace and comfortable couch. The hosts were lovely and left us treats for Christmas Eve. We also enjoyed the discount for Vok baths. Although we didn't get to see the Northern Lights due to snow/clouds- it was still a lovely stay. We woke up to a winter wonderland on Christmas day.

Ubytovanie Ásgeirsstaðir Holiday Homes sa nachádza v destinácii Ásgeirsstaðir v oblasti Austurland 49 km od miesta Vodopád Hengifoss. A wonderful stay in a beautiful secluded area. We loved the private outdoor BBQ which was very convenient on Easter Monday as a lot of places were closed. So the BBQ came to good use. The cabin has clean and comfortable facilities. Communication with the staff was very friendly, our keys were left in the cabin and a message was sent to us on the day indicating which one was ours. Check in and check out was very smooth.

Set on a traditional Icelandic farm, Setberg Guesthouse is located outside of Höfn, a 14-minute drive from the seaside village centre. The room was cosy and super clean. The living room and kitchen area is well equipped. All amenities are available. The view from the window was amazing. The location is good for aurora watching at night too.

Sólbrekka Holiday Homes is located in Mjóifjörður, a remoted fjord in east Iceland. Free WiFi access is available in this holiday home. The best accommodation we have stayed in Iceland! Absolutely secluded beautiful place. Cozy house with everything you need near the fjord. In addition, there is a jacuzzi and a grill.

Guesthouse Birkifell is located in Höfn and offers accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a terrace. Free WiFi is available. There is a full kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave. We loved this amazing little cabin at the foothills of the mountains! So peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic and had incredible views. Hosts were amazing and had 2 very friendly and playful dogs. Close to a glacier which we managed to have to ourselves after a morning hot tub. Heating and hot water in the cabin was great. Beds very comfy.

Set on the most eastern fjord, Nordfjördur, this family-run farm stay is 7 km from Neskaupstadur town centre. It provides free WiFi, scenic country views, as well as horse riding tours on site. This was our best stay while exploring Iceland: amazing hosts, quiet and clean rooms, super spacious dining area and kitchen, a separate huge common space with 2 pianos …and a jacuzzi in the evening on the roof between 2 mountains! Socializing and sharing tips about travel with the other guests. Nice breakfast in the morning and Paskahellir site with blueberry fields in late August just around the corner. Totally worth the trip off the ring road!!

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.

There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.
