I had booked this place because we were going to do an activity in the area, it was canceled on that day but I kept this booking even though it can be a little difficult to get to (I would recommend taking a taxi from the train station, bus service is highly irregular).It seemed like it would be a good experience (staying at a Traditional Japanese house in the country). I was right. Kenji is an excellent and helpful host. Our room was one of the most beautiful we stayed in, lots of detail: carvings , kami dana, beams etc. The beds=futons were warm and comfortable. It was quiet and you could see stars at night. You are near the river and can see/ cross one of the famous bridges. This is rural Japan and I loved it.

Amazing rooms, great kitchen for cooking. The bedroom was traditional and the futon was the most comfortable one I've slept on during my entire stay in Japan! Loved the bath and being able to use the washing machine. The staff/family were an absolutel joy to meet, and so friendly and accommodating. If I ever return to shimanto I'd love to stay again with friends!

The host is very kind to wait for us to introduce us the facility and even come back to apply futon for us. The host is very kind and nice I ever meet in Japan. Bahçe ve dağ manzarası sunan Carpe Diem Kamaida, Ochi'de Hijiri Tapınağı'na 22 km ve Odo Baraj Müzesi'ne 23 km uzaklıkta yer almaktadır. Excellent Hidden Property along the Niyodogawa river. Just beside the Aso Submersible Bridge. The quality of the house is so excellent that it is too underrated and the photos don’t do justice. The actual house seems to be so better and witty visiting.

Not only her friendliness welcomed us well at the beginning, but also the talk and recommendations about planning the trip. The mosquito net is another thing that we really like.

Yumiko's cooking is amazing, and she used a lot of locally sourced ingredients and taught us about them. We had a fantastic time here and wished we could have stayed longer.
