We received a wonderful welcome from Mirjana, who greeted us with a glass of her fine Teran and we felt instantly at home. Skerlj is a historic wine estate which goes back six generations to 1788; our room was cosy and full of character with beautiful old furniture. Delicious breakfasts with homemade eggs, local jams and honeys etc. Mirjana gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner both nights. A lovely place to wind down and enjoy the atmosphere with the friendly cats and elderly dog. Thoroughly recommended, we can’t wait to return!

There was breakfast there in the morning. It was very good. Typical Slovenian breakfast. There was also a restaurant there in the evening so if you didn't want to go out you could eat there.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by host and his hospitality was outstanding. The house was really tidied with all needed things and amazing location on your own. I loved how private the property was, with a great view. The parking space was big, the host was nice and responsive, and the pool and jacuzzi were awesome. Plus, the kitchen had everything we needed and a huge TV for entertainment.
