This is a gem, a respite from the bustling crowds ( of which we were a part of!) of history lovers that want to pay respects to the people and place of Pompeii. Their grounds and gardens are a beautiful match to all the lovely staff we met!

Accueil, gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel
Pompei new center is lovely place. Not so noisy as Napoli, and still typical Italian. We visited here the Da Michelle pizza in Pompei, that was so good. There is also nice catedrall Santuario della Beata Vergine Maria del Santo Rosario. I recommend to buy the rosary in the near shops and go to this church and pray. If you want to visit the Vesuvio, recommend you to book the ticket online in advance. We had the troubles to book it 1 month before our trip, was already almost all booked. Pompei museum is huge and very interesting, if you like history. You will need whole day, or at least half day. Recommend you to go there at morning time, as some expositions might be closed in afternoon already. If you have sweet teeth, visit: Pasticceria Bar Gelateria Gabbiano. I ate the best gelato in my life here, and also tried the pastries that was all delicious.
People are overaly very nice and kind in Italy. It was our first trip to Italy and we were excited, and felt in love with Italy on the first sight.
We are looking forward to visit this nice country soon again.

easy to get around pompeii. hotel close to ruins, cathedral and plenty of choice to eat. i would avoid the 3rd floor of the habitat hotel with the roof garden and bar as very noisy when an event is on, apartment 301 is the room i was in. was not told of the event even though it was for one night until midnight. there was no bed settee in the bedroom as advertised, but there was a bed settee in the living room, but not made up with sheets or duvet. overall we were pleased.

The ruins are incredible and vast.
The ruins are incredible and vast. There aren't many places to get food/toilet so plan for this accordingly. It was absolutely heaving when we went (a random week day in May) and this did impact the experience.
There's a lovely place to get ice cream just a short walk from the entrance to the ruins and a really beautiful church down the road.
We found the people to be somewhat surly (and that's with an Italian speaking member of our group).

Very good place to stay and get trips around - old Pompei...
Very good place to stay and get trips around - old Pompei town, Pompei main street, Vesuvius mountain, and other nearby places like - Naples, Sorrento and others which can be reached easily by the train.
The town is very well maintained and it is very clean, bearing in mind the amount of tourists it gets.

Obviously the ruins (Scavi) are the main draw, but the town is very pretty. The Catholic Basilica does not have the size of the major basilicas in Rome, but it is just as beautiful. You do not have to stay here in order to see the ruins, but it does make it a less hectic experience. The ruins are free on the first Sunday of every month and on certain holidays. We went for free on Liberation Day (25 Apr).

Definitely a great place to stay to see the nearby...
Definitely a great place to stay to see the nearby attractions but, despite having three train stations, the transport links are not great. We were based here for a week and found the public transport frustrating. Last minute platform changes for trains only announced in Italian and giving insufficient time to change to the right platform. Buses leaving up to ten minutes early or not stopping. There is a Flixbus to Sorrento but it only gives three and a bit hours on a day trip from Pompei. To visit Capri we had to have a night in Sorrento which was an unexpected extra expense. On a final note if you eat gluten free the choice is fantastic. It is understood and catered for!
This hotel is spotlessly clean. All rooms and public areas such as hallways were cleaned thoroughly daily. The hotel is of it's time yes, a little dated but brilliantly designed and built with very high quality materials. The pool area is fantastic, the design is just amazing, a real piece of quality architecture. Very good value for money and if your reason for being here is for Pompeii it's 5 minutes walk away, it would be ideal for say a two or three night stay if you want to give Pompeii and Herculaneum the attention they deserve.
Pompei Ruins de Charme is a fabulous property, but what makes it so special is the warm and friendly host, Dino. We had the Queen room with bath, and what a bath , it was huge! The bed was very comfortable and the property was extremely clean. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices and one of the best cappuccino we have had in Italy made by Dino. Wishing you all the best Dino for the birth of your son Giovanni. What a special day today will be.
Dino was a great host and we appreciated the additional services. He drove us from Naples airport then at end of our visit to Minori. He provided good advice about local trains (our fault we kept getting lost). We enjoyed listening to Dino’s stories about life in the south of Italy. Had a fabulous seafood meal at Dino’s friend’s place nearby. Thank you Dino for making our stay in Pompeii so enjoyable. Hoping you can rest a bit.?
Was a last minute booking to stay in Pompeii overnight before returning to Naples and really glad we did. The hotel is perfectly located across from the ruins and near some great restaurants and bars. Had a nice balcony to sit outside and enjoying the setting sun. Room had everything I needed. Great hot shower. Comfortable bed. Easy check in and out. Lovely place to stay.
1. Location is perfect. Just nearby the entrance to old Pompei. This is what tourists is loooking for in Pompei.
2. Personnel is friendly and quick in help and all you want.
3. NALA. SHE IS GORGEOUS, OH MY LOVE
4. One of the Best breads i have eaten in Italy for Last few years. Whole breakfast was good too.
5. Owner is doing everyrhing to make you feel like at home
It is right across from the ruins of Pompeii, which makes it amazing to get up early in the morning and get to the ruins before the buses start to arrive. The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel is great and quiet. The breakfast is amazing. Also, the view from the breakfast room into the ruins is great!
The dinner at the hotel restaurant is great!
The room is large and clean, very close to the Pompei ruins museum and close to the city center. It's quiet and friendly, the breakfast is good (italian, lots of sweets, coffee and tea, don't expect a continental breakfast in places like these as it's not traditional in Italy). A big 24/7 supermarket is right across the street if you need anything.
Everything! Location is great, breakfast was great, they helped us every step of the way from getting to the hotel to finding a private driver to the almafi. The location is located so you can walk to the Pompeii ruins and to the town for dinner. They also held our bags after check out so we could explore.
It is in a very cute villa and very very clean and airy room. Bathroom is huge and contains all facilities that you may need. It is like 5 star hotel.
We've been staying in Italy for 5 days and this is the very best place we stayed and also very close to pompeii ruins
The location was great, close to Pompei ruins.
The staff were wonderful, went out of their way to meet your needs. Best breakfast, and food for a lunch while visiting Pompei ruins. Very friendly and helpful staff, Maria even drove us to the entrance to the ruins.
The neighborhood is quite and you really get the feeling that you are in the Italy province. The breakfast was simple but nice and our host was very friendly and informative. Comfortable facilities and beds. There is a great bakery right in front of the facility.
The best location, fast Wi-Fi and free parking in Pompei. The decoration is a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the centre and just opposite the ruins, surrounded by cafe’, shops and restaurants that you can walk within minutes.
Amazing. Our stay here was fantastic from start to finish. Diego was great - he advised us how to get to the place, was so helpful with any questions. Location is great also. Breakfast in the morning was the best we had in Italy.
The hotel has the best possible position for someone who comes to Pompeii for the ancient city visit, as it is right in front of the entrance.
Nice, retro atmosphere, clean, decent breakfast, amiable personnel.
The accommodation was so clean and the breakfast freshly cooked also the staff were exceptionally helpful when arranging trips etc and we we would recommend the place to anyone wishing to visit Italy
The interior is so good .. it was my fav stay entire Italy trip and lady answered my cal even in late night and helped me to reach the property, very friendly environment near by everything.
