It was a beautiful place located in an easy to find street. The staff were very kind and helpful especially when we were renting out their bicycles to get around the town.

From the moment you drive up until the moment you drive off the staff make it their mission to make you feel like the only customer there. They label themselves as a hotel and resort and resort they are! Your every want, need and wish is met before you even know you need it. My partner and I speak limited and quite broken Japanese and a few of the staff had conversational English which was a huge help for us especially dissecting the dinner/breakfast. We book a room with private bath and loved the convenience and experience, unlike anything we’ve had before. I 100% suggest the half board option(traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner included)!the meals are very well thought out and delicious!

I personally don't enjoy fish and got that for breakfast so we told them we will not be eating breakfast the next day. The staff was very nice and kind and actually gave us some fruits as our breakfast instead. Very considerate, hospitality was amazing!

Situated inside vast Japanese gardens that change their colours each season, Sanyo-so offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation boasting rich history, Japanese aesthetics and pure tranquillity. amazing place super relaxing the food is just amazing they have vegan meal course but they call it vegetarian it was just amazing the whole experience was super fantastic very much recommended would have stayed longer if I could!

A great ryokan experience with extremely friendly and courteous staff who often went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We were served by Sora Tatebayashi who was absolutely incredible and extremely helpful and everyone at the hotel was friendly and thoughtful. If you are looking for a great ryokan experience with amazing onsens and facilities, I highly recommend Hotel Tenbo and make sure to get the room with the mountain view! View and location A truly breathtaking view of Mt Fuji from our room. Highly recommended to stay in the room with the mountain view. The location was great and was very close to the Izu panorama park and the hotel also offers drop off and pick up at Igu Nagoaka Station. Staff and service The service at the hotel was excellent and the staff were always keen to help and were so thoughtful and always willing to go above and beyond to deliver the best service possible, which was truly appreciated.

We loved the private and public onsens - so relaxing. The staff were very helpful and made their best effort to accommodate our requests even with the language barrier (we don't speak any Japanese). Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the surrounding hills and walking trails were lovely to explore.
