There are luxurious breakfast boxes made by different restaurants every day, which is amazing. The quality of the toiletries are so great, and the service is very thoughtful. A very recommendable hotel.

Kamo Residences by Reflections ligger i Kyoto, 1,8 km från Kejsarpalatset, och har conciergeservice, rökfria rum, en trädgård, gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen och grillmöjligheter. Wonderful greeting with local Mochi and a refreshing glass of champagne and green tea. We were able to check-in early at around 11:30. Thank you to the manager for her flexibility. This boutique is located by the River. Our suite had a clear view over local shrines and the river delta. Imperial Palace is 5min walking distance. Shimogamo Shrine, a 10 minute walk. Concierge booked a three day tour guide for us who took great care of us. We booked last minute and could not get good restaurant or guide reservations. Rio took care of everything. Lovely property, manager showed us other suites too, spacious and home feeling.

Guesthouse Bon ligger bara 5 minuters promenad från Daitokuji-templet. Här erbjuds luftkonditionerade rum i japansk stil, men ingen portforbud. The owner is a great guy to talk with, gives a lot of suggestions for places to go to and always tells you how to get there. He has a big hand drawn map on the wall which is such a good idea in my opinion. Everything was clean and prepared on my arrival, owner explained to me everything regarding the stay and answered all of my questions:) Location is far from the city center so the surroundings feel more relaxing, there is also a great opportunity to talk to the locals.

Cozy house - Vacation STAY 13159 ligger i Kita Ward i Kyoto, 3,1 km från helgedomen Kitano Tenmangu, 3,9 km från Kejsarpalatset och 4,9 km från Nijo slott. Super comphy with everything you need while traveling, washing machine, kettle for your coffee, and microwave oven. Spacious with a big bed. Kinkakuji is very close, so you could be there before being crowded. The owner is a nice and helpful guy.

ROKU KYOTO, LXR Hotels & Resorts ligger i Kyoto, 17 minuters promenad från Kinkaku-ji tempel, och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, ett fitnesscenter och en trädgård. Every single corner! The hotel was just perfect, I found out about it by coincidence and couldn’t not take a room and enjoy at least a day before I leave Kyoto. Beds are very comfy, excellent service, friendly staff, breath taking views, a mix of modern/ traditional Japanese design.

Daitokuji Sushicho ligger i Kyoto, 2,4 km från Kinkaku-ji tempel, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en restaurang. Breakfast and dinner are fantastic! The host of the house are extremely hospitality. We all have wonderful vacation in Daitokuji Sushico.

The apartment is located in a quiet non-touristic area. It’s equipped with everything you need during the stay. I found the bike and the portable WiFi to be very useful indeed.

Nachiya ligger i Kita Ward i Kyoto, 18 minuters promenad från Kinkaku-ji tempel, 1,9 km från helgedomen Kitano Tenmangu och 3,8 km från Nijo slott. Excellent accommodation that features modern amenities but with traditional Japanese architecture and aesthetics. Modern amenities include fully automated washer/dryer, automatically filling bath tub, wifi, regular sized fridge/freezer, etc. The owner has left printed instructions for various features of the house in multiple languages, including English. The views of the garden are tranquil and it was especially beautiful since it snowed during out stay. The location is very close to a bus stop (Bukkyou University), a convenience store, and a supermarket if you want to make something simple in the kitchen. It's locate in the middle of a residential neighborhood so I had questions at first, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the stay. I would definitely come back again.

Cozy house 411 free wifi a rented electric bicycle har utsikt över staden och erbjuder boende med en balkong och vattenkokare, 3,1 km från helgedomen Kitano Tenmangu. The owner was very friendly and welcoming right after we reached the nearby station, and the following service was phenomenal. We had 4 big luggages, but he helped us carry all the way up to the 4th floor (no elevator unfortunately, so make sure to carry a moderate amount for your own sake). Location-wise, I suppose the only well-known attraction to foreign tourists is Kinkaku-ji, however, the owner spent quite a while explaining to us what other surrounding attractions and local food we could try, which were way less crowded than the usual spots like Fushimi Inari and the like (definitely worth a visit if you are more into discovering the serenity side of Kyoto). Our family did not know Japanese very well, but he made us feel welcome and our travel experience in Kyoto was very much fulfilled.
