The location is quite good too. Close to a lot of places. Just a train ride to the Gion area. It is also pretty close to Kyoto station. You do need to transfer though, but pretty short trip. There are also a couple of restaurants around the hotel. Plus, a lawson next to the train station. Best of all, the staff are very nice and accommodating. I was able to leave my luggage before check in time.

I come from hospitality industry and understand how hard is to keep the facilities clean but this hotel has exceeded my expectations. The bath available for women is great to Hotel staff is super kind The location is perfect. Some lines you can access by elevator from the hotel while the others are 3min across the street. Important to say - there is no noise. The coffee in the room was awesome too

I enjoyed experiencing a more traditional Japanese style room while I was staying in Kyoto. The location was really nice being close to nature and the nearby city! It's on top of a big hill, so your legs will get a good workout each time you go up and down. It's pretty convenient being close to the main things you can think of, such as transportation, convenience stores, restaurants, and nature trails. I would stay here again!

The owner was very friendly and helpful, and even guided us to the guest house by a phone call.
