The location is quite good too. Close to a lot of places. Just a train ride to the Gion area. It is also pretty close to Kyoto station. You do need to transfer though, but pretty short trip. There are also a couple of restaurants around the hotel. Plus, a lawson next to the train station. Best of all, the staff are very nice and accommodating. I was able to leave my luggage before check in time.

The location was really nice being close to nature and the nearby city! It's on top of a big hill, so your legs will get a good workout each time you go up and down. It's pretty convenient being close to the main things you can think of, such as transportation, convenience stores, restaurants, and nature trails. I would stay here again!

Also the additional manga, books and board games were entertaining too! Everything was well arranged with proper and clear instructions about their operation. The rooms were very spacious too. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and even guided us to the guest house by a phone call.
