From all the places we stayed in Japan, this was our favorite. Everything was perfect - the combination of a peaceful atmosphere with a very comfortable place. We got the option with dinner and breakfast, which we can only recommend - everything was very well prepared and delicious. The highlight of course is the private onsen, which can provide a well needed resting for travelers like us, who walk a lot during vacation. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Situated in the Okuhida Onsen district in Takayama, 29 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, Yunohirakan boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. מלון אויאדו איטארו (Oyado Eitaro) שוכן באזור אוקוהידה אונסן (Okuhida Onsen) בטקיאמה (Takayama), ומציע מי מעיינות הזורמים משני מעיינות חמים שונים, מחסן ציוד סקי וחניה פרטית ללא תשלום באתר. Hotel is just 2-3 minutes walk from bus stop with nice private onsen. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent and delicious.

מקום האירוח Tabist Kazeyuki ממוקם בטקיאמה, במרחק של 35 ק''מ מתחנת הרכבת טאקאיאמה, וכולל אופניים ללא תשלום, חניה פרטית בחינם, גינה וטרקלין משותף. הצוות היה מדהים. הייתה לנו בעיה שלא קשורה למקום והם עזרו לנו עם הטלפונים האישיים שלהם במשך שעות עד שהבעיה נפתרה. הגענו מאוחר וכבר המסעדות היו סגורות והם הביאו לנו מהחטיפים הפרטיים שלהם מהחדר שיהיה לנו משהו לאכול .ניוקאן ניהאונסים הפרטיים במלון היו נפלאים, נוחים ומפנקים

מקום האירוח Hirayukan ממוקם בטקיאמה, במרחק של 35 ק''מ מתחנת הרכבת טאקאיאמה ו-37 ק''מ מכפר הפולקלור הינדה מינזוקו מורה, ומציע אירוח עם גינה ואינטרנט אלחוטי בחינם, וגם חניה פרטית בחינם לאורחים שמגיעים... After hiking at kamakochi; very nice onsen, all you can eat buffet with traditional japanese food, very comfy bed, japanese style room, massage chairs, you get japanese pyamas where you can walk all day in (even to the restaurant). Completly relaxing.

ריוקן טסויוקוזה (Tsuyukusa) ממוקם מצפון לאזור הסקי היראיו הוט ספרינג (Hirayu Hot Spring Ski Area), במרחק דקת הליכה אחת ממסוף האוטובוסים היראיו אונסן (Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal), ומתגאה במעיין חם טבעי... Clean, comfortable, great value. Outdoor private bath.

A 3-minute walk from Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal, Okada Ryokan Warakutei features Japanese-style accommodations with mountain views. The meals are delicious. Room is spacious and comfortable. The open-air hot spring is a plus. They even have some exhibitions for this historic old hotel.

מקום האירוח מיאמה אואן (Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort) שוכן בהרי הידה (Hida) השלווים, ומציע יחידות אירוח מסורתיות עם מרחצאות מעיינות חמים ונוף לטבע. מלון מהמם ומפנק. נהנינו בטירוף... יש אונסן פרטי ללא הזמנה באוויר הפתוח וגם מקורה. גם האונסן הציבורי מפנק ומהנה. מכל חדר נשקף נוף של יער ירוק ומרגיע. הכל היה נקי, אסתטי ובטעם טוב. ארוחת הערב גדולה אבל יקרה מאוד, ארוחת הבוקר מומלצת. שירות מעולה ואכפתי.

At Nakamurakan, guests can relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and enjoy traditional multi-course meals with a Nakai-san personal attendant service. The staff here were soooo friendly and helpful. Most of the front desk staff speak decent English and are super helpful. My fiance felt that the privaye onsen was a bit too hot and they were very quick in allowing us to use another one with slightly milder temperatures. The numerous reviews of the lack of cleanliness in the hotel have either been overstated or addressed. The room was very large and clean. The reviews of the onsen having algae are understandably ignorant, the algae is something that onsen enthusiasts enjoy because it (supposedly) has incredibly positive effects on your skin, and is a sign that the onsen water has not been treated with harsh chemicals. The food was incredible and you should definitely opt for the half board. Both breakfasts and dinners we had were a huge spread and very filling, we did have issues breathing after finishing our meals. It is regrettable that there are so many negative reviews which I feel are quite unfair after staying here, as they definitely did make me second guess my choice to stay here. The place has been a bit worn with age but this has only lent to its charm. The futon beds were very comfortable, and better than the ones we slept on at more expensive ryokans. I wish that the gift shop was a bit more well stocked. I hope to return to see this establishment rejuvenated in the future. Perhaps if the garden was restored and certain parts of the hotel refreshed, it would be a truly exceptional stay.
