Situado numa zona tranquila na região de Gifu, a 52 minutos de carro da Estação JR Takayama, o Mozumo possui um banho termal e quartos decorados com um interior japonês moderno. From all the places we stayed in Japan, this was our favorite. Everything was perfect - the combination of a peaceful atmosphere with a very comfortable place. We got the option with dinner and breakfast, which we can only recommend - everything was very well prepared and delicious. The highlight of course is the private onsen, which can provide a well needed resting for travelers like us, who walk a lot during vacation. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Situado no bairro de Okuhida Onsen, em Takayama, a 29 km do Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, o Yunohirakan dispõe de quartos com ar condicionado e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. An excellent place to stay. Food was excellent and facilities were great. The private onsens was the main reason we decided to stay here. They had a small, medium and large private onsens on top of the public baths that were available. Very easy to access and the perfect getaway for myself and the wifey!

Hirayukan encontra-se em Takayama, a 35 km de Estação Ferroviária de Takayama e a 37 km de Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village (museu ao ar livre). The onsen was very nice and the rooms were beautiful. The garden in front is also special. This was a good spot from which I could visit kamikochi

Located north of Hirayu Hot Spring Ski Area and a 1-minute walk from Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal, Tsuyukusa boasts an on-site natural hot spring. very quiet and peaceful guesthouse with incredible facilities. the self check in was a first for me and i found it very self explanatory and efficient.

A 3-minute walk from Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal, Okada Ryokan Warakutei features Japanese-style accommodations with mountain views. Muito perto da estação de autocarros e da cascata. Yucata com qualidade e banhos publicos muito bonitos ao ar livre. Quarto estilo Japonês espaçoso, com oferta de chá e um biscoito.

O Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort está situado nas tranquilas Montanhas Hida e dispõe de acomodações tradicionais com banhos termais e vistas para a natureza. O hotel era muito melhor do que esperávamos pelas fotos. Fomos em dezembro, no inverno, as instalações ficam no alto da montanha, rodeado de neve, atrás de uma floresta magnífica. O hotel oferece refeições e a experiência típica japonesa, com onsen particular (duas unidades), além do coletivo que contém banheiras internas e externas. Tem máquina de chopp free. Muitas amenidades.

At Nakamurakan, guests can relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and enjoy traditional multi-course meals with a Nakai-san personal attendant service. The staff here were soooo friendly and helpful. Most of the front desk staff speak decent English and are super helpful. My fiance felt that the privaye onsen was a bit too hot and they were very quick in allowing us to use another one with slightly milder temperatures. The numerous reviews of the lack of cleanliness in the hotel have either been overstated or addressed. The room was very large and clean. The reviews of the onsen having algae are understandably ignorant, the algae is something that onsen enthusiasts enjoy because it (supposedly) has incredibly positive effects on your skin, and is a sign that the onsen water has not been treated with harsh chemicals. The food was incredible and you should definitely opt for the half board. Both breakfasts and dinners we had were a huge spread and very filling, we did have issues breathing after finishing our meals. It is regrettable that there are so many negative reviews which I feel are quite unfair after staying here, as they definitely did make me second guess my choice to stay here. The place has been a bit worn with age but this has only lent to its charm. The futon beds were very comfortable, and better than the ones we slept on at more expensive ryokans. I wish that the gift shop was a bit more well stocked. I hope to return to see this establishment rejuvenated in the future. Perhaps if the garden was restored and certain parts of the hotel refreshed, it would be a truly exceptional stay.
