The breakfast was amazing and the public onsen was beautiful.

Well situated in Takayama, Temple Hotel Takayama Zenkoji offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. This 4-star hotel offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space. The experience was fantastic.we were greeted with such friendliness and when the monk realized we had an early start in the morning and we would miss the morning service of prayers. He gave a quick introduction and prayer in the afternoon. Thank you and sorry we couldn't say goodbye in the morning. The place was spotless with ultra modern toilet and bathroom and kitchenette. Our only regret was we didn't book for longer. Location very close to 7/11 and small walk into old town. Excellent. Please try and visit the small coffee shop opposite.run by the most friendly old couple who looked after us 1st thing in the morning while waiting to drop our cases off😊 Ps our futon was 100 times more comfortable than our last ryokan

Rooms are spacious, especially by Japanese standards. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. There is netflix available in the room.

Situated in the centre of Takayama, Chisun Grand Takayama is set 200 metres from Takayama Station and 2.3 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. It was just perfect! The room was huge which make it very unique in Japan 😄 Very clean and well maintained. Great location

Conveniently set in Takayama, Hotel around Takayama, Ascend Hotel Collection provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Located very near to the train station. So, after you arrived via the Hida Limited Express, it's only a mere 2-3 minutes walk. Even if you arrive via bus, the bus station is also next to the train station. It's located on this side of the bridge, so going over to the old walking streets you will have to walk to cross the beautiful bridge (not very far). Convenient store Family Mart is located just opposite the train station. The hotel has a very pleasant vibe and the room was exceptional. The hotel even has a complimentary onsen for guests at 2nd floor. Superb experience.

Situated in the centre of Takayama, FAV HOTEL HIDATAKAYAMA West is set 600 metres from Takayama Station and 1.7 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Loved everything about this hotel, especially the room design. Fully equipped, very comfortable, and spacious. We could park our car there which is great!
