Atha safari resort is a wonderful hotel that I found in my destination for 2 weeks. My safari trip was arranged by Asanka, the owner of the hotel. A large number of animals could be seen there, and the large elephant ranch with calves was very attractive. In front of the hotel, you could see a very attractive background. Among them, the river that flows in the front is special. It was an unforgettable experience for us when we spent more than 5 hours in the river. The huge hammocks and beach chairs in front of the hotel are very attractive.In the morning, I was on the hammock and I could see a lot of animals like hawks, vaduras, peacocks, lizards, etc. The sweet chirping of birds, which continued for hours, was like music. The attractive jakuziya, rooms and walls made of stone, the special zone designed for yoga and meditation, showcase the creativity of the hotel's designer, Asanka. The Makulu camp is definetely a hidden gem! We had an extraordinary stay at their place - the staff was great, offerinh so many things to do snd helped us organizing everything regarding transport, the safari etc. The super romantic bonfire dinner in the middle of the djungle at night was a highlight we are lucky to have experienced.

Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the pool area was nice. They arranged the safari to Udawalawe National Park. The driver took us around the park.
