Exceptionally friendly and helpful owner. When we arrived he asked what our plans were during our time on shikoku and gave excellent tips/maps to fit our itinerary. Clean accommodation with fridge/crockery and a nice communal space. Arrived late and he could recommend where to get dinner. Parking available.

Set 3 km from Liminal Air-core Takamatsu, Aoisora Aoiumi no guest house - Vacation STAY 75101v offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is located 3.1 km from Sunport Fountain, 4.2 km from Takamatsu Heike Monogatari Historical Museum and 5.7 km from Asahi Green Park. The property is non-smoking and is situated 3 km from Kitahamaebisu Shrine.

The place was really clean, and had everything that we could need all laid out for us when we arrived. The owners are the most wonderful people you'll ever meet, a kind older couple who live across the street from the building and speak perfect English. We often chatted and they let us use the bikes as often as we wanted. They will happily answer any question and sent us information in advance about how to access the hotel from Takamatsu station.. The room is really lovely, with a cool tatami room and kitchen, and traditional futon beds. The location is really peaceful and easy to access public transport. Just bear in mind that there is no lift, but the building is only 3 floors so it's only minimal stairs. All in all, I highly recommend this place, you will absolutely not regret it!

We're used to Japanese kindness but Kai-san and her husband were so wonderfully kind. The room was simple but very clean and the location was perfect, both for Ritsuin Park and the train to the different temples.

wonderful location! right next to the gardens. Also had bikes available for hire, which was so helpful to get around. Downstairs there is a lovely room that you can leave your bags when you check out so that you don’t have to carry them around. Our host was so friendly and lovely, and they had a great guide book.

Also new aircon and very comfortable sitting room with many books ant tv. WiFi was very fast. Guest can also use laundry facilities for free I liked immaculate cleanness in all rooms. There are also several bicycles to be used by guests for free. This is my second stay in Akane Guest House and in its price range there is nothing equal or better available. The place is beautifully maintained! It is quiet, tidy and clean, with that hint of an aesthetic touch that makes you feel at ease. The staff is friendly and courteous. Hard to find anything better, one of the best hostels I have stayed in :)

Lovely staff, use of the washing machine was a plus and they provided detergent, small dorms only sharing with one or 3 others which makes it quieter. Great location - near the shopping street but 25min walk to the station however there is a train you can catch which is close by

Honestly, I liked everything. The bed was very spacious, the common room and kitchen had everything I needed and downstairs was a co-working space with small cubicles where I could sit in private without disturbing anyone. I loved the details they put into the design of the hostel. It had a very nice vibe. Also, there is a supermarket around the corner, which is very convenient. I would definitely stay here again! Yes, it is not in the city center, but there is a tramstation very close by.

Very easy to find, simple check-in with real people rather than machines and instructions, comfy beds, quiet, and a carpark right out the front. We had a car which made this very convenient. Not sure how close it is to public transport but not far from the city centre.

Great location! So close to the ferry terminal which made it a great choice as we were coming back from Naoshima on the last high-speed boat. The whole guesthouse had lots of art-related and Takamatsu-related flyers which was fun. Easy check-in and out and the man managing the front desk was very friendly (bonus or warning depending on you: two cats in the check-in room!). The yukatas were very comfy and the edging of the tatami mats were Yayoi Kusama-pumpkin themed which was a fun touch, as was the keychain on our key!

Nice homestay managed by a person who could speak very well in English. Great experience for a special room setup and special Japanese breakfast which is really delicious. Quiet place with easy access to nearby walking covered shopping, restaurant street. Will certainly be visiting this place again in my near future and special thanks to the host who had giving us lots of guidance on the local attraction!

Very nice guesthouse, located in the center of Takamatsu. Only minutes away from the shopping street nearby, and about 15 minutes from the stunning Ritsurin Garden. The staff was able to speak English well enough for me to be able to check in easily. They even gave me a map of the city center with a whole lot of restaurant, cafe, and bar recommendations featuring the local food of Takamatsu.
