We ate there more than once every day because of the peace of mind it gave us to have safe food that was also delicious.

Anshul is a wonderful host arranging pick pick up at the bus station and transportation to the fort. He is a great cook and the meals from the patio are delicious with views of the fort. The guest house is spotless and has beautiful pink sandstone. The bedroom was perfect and the bathroom very clean.

The staff were excellent in providing great service at breakfast and dinner (the food is fantastic as well), and they also provided such great recommendations of what to do in the city during the day. We spent our first days in India at Baijoo Niwas, and it was the perfect introduction to the excitingness of Rajasthan. It was also easy to catch a ride on a tuktuk from outside the accomodation.

The manager Ragu took a call from me at 4 in the morning, organised a tuk tuk pickup from the train, and personally came out to help me carry my luggage upstairs. He took me on a personal tour to the havelis and the lake and dropped me off where I wanted to go on his motorbike for free, (I paid tips and only for petrol). He organised a fabulous camel safari with pickup from the hotel: it was wonderful to stay overnight in the desert and see all the stars. I stayed one night in one room and one night in the mahrani suite which included a padded window seat on a 400 year old sandstone balcony overlooking the city. I had my morning pot of coffee on the balcony looking out over the city of Jaisalmer. My stay was very reasonably priced. It was amazing to stay in the heritage-listed Fort and very convenient for travellers. The restaurant is open all hours so you can get coffee and food any time of day. Ragu the manager says that people come as friends and leave as family and it was certainly true in my case. I very highly recommend you stay here.
