From the comfortable rooms to the peaceful location all the way to the amazing owner who deserves a Nobel prize for the joint he is running in Yogyakarta/Jogja here. Mukhatar ( the owner) is perhaps the kindest & most generous person I have met, he instantly makes you feel like part of his family as soon as you step foot on the premise 💞 Not only this but he will go out of his way to ensure your needs are met he will help with everything like; assisting with tour bookings, scooter rentals, laundry & assisting with translations, booking rides to get around town even provides information for places in & around Java such as: recommendations for local hotspots for events, sunrises/sunsets, hikes, cheap food & stores, you name it this man will put in 110% effort to ensure your enjoying your time here. The facilities here are top notch too, from clean bathrooms, a large open living room with a huge TV with its own Netflix account & PS4 to an open easy to use kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, plates, cups, cutlery, utensils, the works! 🍽️ If you're looking for somewhere to spend your time in Yogyakarta this hostel should be on your list, if you're lucky you might even run into the local polylinguist "Mr Saturday" a happy, sweet fella that will always put a smile on your face (if your timing is right you may even score a chance to taste his mouthwatering home cook-ups) or Mohammed the legend of the local nightlife who can fill you in on the the local bars & clubs around town also guaranteed to put a smile on your face both legends in their own right 👊 & often poke their heads into the hostel to say hello! I digress point being stop reading this review & book yourself into the Sleepy Raccoon Hostel ASAP it's an experience you will not regret, guaranteed ✌️&♥️

The staff is simply incredible. They helped us lot with our travel plans and were always extremely friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Most things are in walking distance from the accommodation. Highly recommend staying there if you are ever in Malang.

Lovely and warm welcome by Mira and her husband! Only stayed for one night to do the Ijen crater hike - Mira sorted out the whole booking of that hike for me! Delicious breakfast, even after my return from the hike at 10 am! The room was modern and tidy, with a locker, one bunkbed and lots of space Bathroom facilities on par and a nice terrace space for all guests. Although very short, an absolute joy to stay here, so highly recommend! 🌟

The location is convenient for the airport, but not for daily visits to the central city of Jakarta. It is perfect for early flights or late arrivals, or last minute flight cancelations. Despite being a suburb far from the city center, it still has some interesting sites including a night market with rows of food stalls, the 16th century Chinese Temple, riverside walk and food stalls, and the Benteng Heritage Museum. Dany is a very helpful and accommodating host, and the maker of fine coffees.

They can even help you get telkomsel sim and rent motorbikes! A superb place to stay if Yogyakarta is your first stop in indonesia! There's also a lot of cute restaurants and shops nearby!

Everything was very clean! Easy check in, staff was really friendly and helpful. The property is nice, well located and has a kitchen, which is convenient. The hotel helped us to book the tour to Ijen and the tour guide to as the best!
