Very helpful, and always willing to answer questions and give suggestions. They have a large lounge area, with a kitchen area. Everything from the rooms, kitchen and washroom facilities was spotless. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse.

If you're on the Shikoku Henro (a pilgrimage to visit 88 temples related to Kukai, Kobo Daishi), Shippoya 七宝屋 is perfectly located between Temple 70 Motoyamaji and Temple 71 Iyadaniji, amidst tranquil farms and paddy fields. The hostel for guests is beautifully and thoughtfully designed by the owner, reminiscent of Scandinavian minimalist aesthetics. Unlike many dormitory hostels where it is difficult for even an Asian person of average height to sit up fully in the lower bunk bed, the dormitory at Shippoya offers a generous and welcoming space even for taller guests! Private rooms are also available. Friendly and knowledgeable, Shippoya's owner is able to speak English well, making it much easier for foreign guests to communicate, have interesting conversations, and learn about Japanese culture. Guests can use the washing machine for free, and there is an outdoor space to hang and dry clothes.

Set in Zentsuji, 37 km from Liminal Air-core Takamatsu, 深山邸miyama-tei offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. La struttura è pulita, super organizzata e curata anche nei più piccoli dettagli. I miei complimenti al proprietario per come tiene e gestisce la struttura. Inoltre ha Stile ed onestà, avevo prenotato 2 giorni ma per problemi con la mia bicicletta non potevo raggiungere in tempo la struttura, così ho chiesto nello stesso giorno della prenotazione se potevo cancellare e tenere solo il giorno dopo. Non era obbligato e poteva benissimo dirmi che era troppo tardi per cancellare il giorno prenotato, ma con grande onestà ha accettato e me lo ha rimborsato . Così io ho potuto dormire in un altro posto senza perdere soldi ed il giorno dopo sono andato da lui.! Grazie ancora. Moooolto consigliato.

First things first: this is a welcoming place. I enjoyed my short time at Kotohira a lot and a huge reason for that was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the guesthouse. The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

Il Sunny Day Hostel sorge a Takamatsu, a 1,4 km dal centro di Takamatsu e a 1,5 km dalla Fontana di Sunport. The host was really friendly and recommended us to many great places/restaurants. We arrived early for check in and he allowed us to keep our baggage so we can head out for our trip. We came back late for check in but he waited for us patiently and even moved our baggage to our rooms before we arrived so we had everything settled as soon as we checked in Very comfortable stay, will be back if I visit Takamatsu again! Location was just a few mins walk from public transportation and other attractions.
