Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Gorgeous place, I loved the nature and the hostel itself which has a Japanese and Scandinavian vibe to it. If you’re looking for a place to relax and just connect with nature I think it’s the best place to do it at.

The host was amazing, being so nice and caring with us, as well as helping us plan the trip. Great location, very good breakfast and very comfy beds. I strongly recommend.

Comfortable beds and spacious room. Loved the views from our room. Peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. Lovely area to walk around.

Clean and convenient to train station/taxi/food in the area. They helped us get a taxi when we were having a hard time getting transportation to the 5th station to start our climb up Fuji. The taxi’s at the train station won’t start until 11am, when we came back from trying the worker let us know he found a taxi service for 5am and helped us book. Very much appreciated.
