The traditionally built, historic wood and stone house Flyhof in Weesen is a family-owned hotel, set directly at the shores of Lake Walen. Quaint historic inn. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and attentive. The whole place exudes warmth and welcome at a slower pace. Very attentive to our dietary needs (gluten free/celiac) and five star food. Quiet room with comfortable bed. Great hiking right out the door. Our favorite stay of a nearly three week European excursion!

The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is a first-class spa hotel situated just an hour’s drive from Zurich, amidst the foothills of the Alps in Eastern Switzerland. The restaurants (Zollstube in particular!!), the friendly and helpful staff, the views, the pools/spas…truly the height of luxury. Also, for such an expansive property, full of guests, we never had to wait long for an elevator…it’s the little things!
