In short, everything. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in 40 years of traveling. The care that the staff - Romina, Katherine, and Antonia - provided was sincere and above and beyond anything I've experienced before. They accommodated my need for a gluten-free breakfast every day. They accommodated my need for cooling due to my difficulties with heat. They were always pleasant and helpful.

Located on Atamu Tekena island’s main street, 600 metres from Pea beach and from Mataveri airport, Inaki Uhi Hotel offers fully equipped common kitchens and free Wi-Fi in Hanga Roa. An absolutely great place to stay; great facilities all around. The room was immaculate, powerful air conditioning, fully functional WIFI, with bathrooms that bore an uncanny familiarity to the Marriott we just left. This place had the hottest water and strongest water pressure we have had over 3 months in South America (not an overstatement). Alex (barring any attempt to spell his real name) welcomed us & dropped us off at the airport and was a wealth of information regarding what to do, when to do it, and what to avoid. Evelyn and Chrissie were always available to help out if we had any questions or needed everything. It was a very busy few days and the facilities were a great place to come back to and recharge. Set less than 1 km from Playa Pea, Hotel & Apartments "CHEZ HIVA" offers 3-star accommodation in Hanga Roa and has a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. The tasteful decor in tropical style, cleanliness and host's hospitality. Lorena spoke English and was always available whenever we had a question. The place is hidden behind a large gate wrapped in passion vine. The units with separate entrances are concentrated around a paved yard where it's nice to sit in the evening and watch the stars. I loved the thatched roofs! Our room was equipped with a ceiling fan and a fridge, everything was neat and tidy. We did not order breakfast, but it was available upon request. Chez Hiwa is located on a quiet street, 10 minutes from the town centre. Ahu Tahai, famous for its sunsets, is 12-15 min by foot.

Located 15 minutes' walk from the city centre, 100 metres from Tahai ceremonial centre, and 800 metres from Pea beach, Pikera Uri offers rooms with sea views and free Wi-Fi in public areas in Hanga... It's difficult knowing where to stay in Rapa Nui and I was lucky to have a friend recommend this lodge. Im so glad we went, from the moment they picked us up at the airport, we felt welcomed and cared. It was a very special arrival. Throughout the stay, they were always willing to help, incredibly friendly and caring. It's a family owned lodge and you see the parents and their kids working all together to make it a great place. They provided conversation when we felt like talking and let us do our own thing when we felt like simply relaxing around. The breakfast is cooked by them with love. The fruits are from the trees in their garden and the jams are homemade too. You could feel the love in everything they provided.

Even on the middle of the Pacific, the room was plenty of things that you need for the stay. And above all, the staff was incredibly nice. Especially the Japanese lady who welcomed us from the beginning throughout the stay was so nice.
