The location of this lodge is great and our room was just in front of the nature where I spent lots of time to watch birds and animals.

Located 54 km from Playa Hermosa, Vida Aventura Nature Park offers accommodation 16 km Rincon de La Vieja National Park. Guests benefit from free WiFi and private parking available on site. Jorge was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The property was wonderful; the pool / jacuzzi area were great to spend the evening in watching the sun set. And the hiking trails were a fun way to see many local birds (along with a great canine tour guide).

Santa Maria Volcano Lodge offers pet-friendly accommodation. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom. You stay in a wooden rustic cabin with huge windows in the middle of the jungle. You may see tucans from your bed.

With Parque Nacional Santa Rosa reachable in 49 km, Hotel Rincón de la Vieja Lodge features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Wonderful location and helpful staff.

Hacienda Guachipelin Volcano Ranch Hotel & Hot Springs is located at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, in north-west Costa Rica. This was such a lovely experiece! Great beds, clean room, hot shower, lovely staff, thermal pools and an armadillo hopping about in the garden... There were also some nice short hikes/trails to waterfalls on the property. It is however (considering the distance to the hot springs and some of the trails) very convenient to have a car with you when you stay at Guacipelin. We did not feel that the prices in the restaurant were extremely high: a pasta goes between 12-18 USD and a pizza (the best we've had outside of Italy!) is around 12 USD. The nearest soda (a 13 minute drive) charges a bit less for food, but the difference it not that much.

Situated in Liberia, within 27 km of Miravalles Volcano, Cabaña de montaña espectacular is an accommodation offering garden views.

Located in the beautiful country side near Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Casa Rural Aroma de Campo is a quaint B&B with on-site natural springs and a kitchen serving delicious Costa Rican cuisine.... We had a spacious room connected to the house. The fan was more than enough to keep you cool. The outdoor living space was fantastic. You still felt quite private and it overlooked the beautiful gardens of the massive block of land were you can watch all the different birds fly through. The blue healers were gorgeous and friendly. The owners are very helpful with fantastic recommendations. Make sure you have dinner here. Its the best you'll get in costa rica. A perfect place to come back to after exploring all the nearby activities. Small village nearby if you need any supplies.

Surrounded by extensive gardens and featuring an on-site lake, wooden bungalows and eco-tourism activities, Buena Vista del Rincón is located in Rincon de la Vieja. Free Wi-Fi is available. Staff made it an exceptional stay! Food at the jaguar was really good at a great value. The hotel has plenty of activities that want us to come for more.
