Hotel Rural Alfajía de Antonio is located 100 metres from Calvary Square in Capileira, just outside the Sierra Nevada National Park. It offers traditional-style rooms with central heating and a TV. Location was perfect. Antonio was v helpful with all our queries. As hikers we found his recommendations were really great. The terrace offers wonderful vistas of the village and surrounding mountains.

This converted and fully renovated charming property dates back to the 16th century. Ramon, The proprietor, was extraordinary. Super helpful in our arrival, going out of his way to walk us through different hiking routes in the area as well as provide restaurant recommendations. He also made us breakfast which wasn’t even mentioned in the advertisement!

Offering a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, El Cercado is set in Andalusia’s beautiful Alpujarras Mountains. We were out of season with a few guests at the property, yet the check-in, room, and breakfast were handled well. The property itself is good if you arrive by car, walking from the city is a bit of a chore and requires you taking a car road. The apartments are cozy with good heating, water pressure, and internet connection, they are a bit dated, but everything was clean and kept in good condition. Nice views on the sunrise from apartment windows as well. Breakfast was plentiful.

Rooms at Hotel los Bérchules have a terrace offering spectacular views of the Cádiar Valley and Contraviesa Sierra. Wow! Such a fantastic, comfortable, and welcoming hotel! We spent three nights at the end of our three weeks in Spain and would have been happy to stay longer. Mother and daughter, Paula and Megan, are wonderful hosts and a delight to get to know. Make sure to plan for dinner and breakfast there as Megan is an outstanding chef. Our meals were fresh, creative, and so attentively prepared, the best we had on her entire trip. The hotel has super comfy beds and spectacular views and is easy to find with parking on site. Berchules was a charming village to explore and we loved the 25-minute walk down to the river with a place to picnic, read, or wade in the water. We highly recommend this hotel. On a side note, the drive to Berchules is an epic drive on a comfortably winding 2 lane road. Plan to give yourself plenty of time to savor the views and photo opportunities.

Honestly, he made an experience that could have completely ruined our trip into just a minor blip. Thank you, Francisco.
