The bath tub was a great touch but what made this place so great was the breakfast. WOW. Perfect breakfast to start your active day and some of the best coffee I've ever had. The customer service of the entire property was spot on and although they didn't have an iron, the owner offered to take my shirt to his house to Iron and bring back the next day. I couldn't be happier with my stay and will be back soon!

Our hosts, Marta & Sergio, were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had a beautiful view through which we could see the lovely village of Alquezar. The queen size bed was perfectly comfortable. Meals were beautifully prepared and served in the dining room with a city view. All the food was sourced from nearby farms. There is also a large patio available for dining. We'd only planned an over-night stay but remained for 3 days due to the charm of the village and the activities available. There is a (maybe 3 mile) loop hike by the river and another hike to see bronze-age petroglyphs. Our stop at the Hotel Vinoteca was one of the highlights of our 3-week trip through southern France and northern Spain.

This is a lovely, reasonably priced property. Get a view room of the Alquezar! Worth it! They have an elevator, friendly staff and free parking is fairly close. If you are lucky, you can find a parking spot near the hotel front, like we did. We added the breakfast at 8am so we could walk the less than 2 mile, elevated, hike along the Vero River ( 4 euro a piece..totally worth it) at 9am. We would definitely stay at this gem of a hotel again!
