Hotel Colón Plaza is an elegant hotel opposite Campo Grande Park in central Valladolid, 2 minutes’ walk from the high-speed train station. The Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral are a short walk away. I travel in Spain for work nearly continuously and have stayed in many hotels over the years. I think this is actually the best I have encountered! The front desk staff was hands down the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful I've ever met. It was a pleasure to interact with them. On top of that, the room was large and very comfortable, the breakfast perfect, and the location 5 minutes walk from the train station. I will stay here again.

It is an old monastery, first built in 1154 turned into a luxury hotel by subtly keeping the style, the spirit, and the function of the different rooms. The wine is of very good quality, the SPA offers a great variety of treatments and there are plenty of walks or bike tours to take around. last but definitely not least - the michelin star restaurant takes all of your senses to an unforgettable adventure… Admirations for the entire staff, management and owners! Hope to become a regular customer as it is just and 1h30 min away from Madrid!
