La Truffe Noire is situated in the city centre of Brive, between Limousin, Quercy and Périgord. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi internet access. Fabulous location in the heart of Brive; close to restaurants, shops, the city market, the church square, etc. I was there for one night only, a Monday, so the on-site restaurant was closed for dinner, but I heard from locals that it is a very good restaurant. Breakfast was modest but good. The room was clean and modernized with a good bed.

After the meal we spent a pleasant evening chatting to the staff. We found the site via sat nav, which took us via the shortest, but very narrow route. The manager's wife led us into Turenne by a wider, safer route which I was happy to use.
