The Antelope Hotel ligger i Merthyr Tydfil, 40 km från Cardiff University och 42 km från University of South Wales – Cardiff Campus. Simple, clean and comfortable room. The host, Claire, was wonderful - great communication and she went out of her way to help me out during my stay (providing advice on local activities, storing bags, drying some wet clothes). Breakfast was excellent.

I loved the vibe in this hotel. Very characteristic but also modern comforts. Lots of activity in the bars and restaurants. Very lively. Beautiful spacious room. Friendly people. I loved the restaurant. We had the best meal of our trip to Wales here. Breakfast was outstanding. Great table service, drink top ups. Loved the hospitality. The town is lovely as well. Parking lot behind the hotel.

There's as restaurant too, that does mainly fish and chips, that sort of thing. Not gourmet, but cheap and pleasant. The location was fine--Talgarth is a very small town, and you could easily walk anywhere from the hotel. It's on a somewhat busy road, but at night it's very quiet. The owners, twin brothers, are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Obviously at this price you don't expect luxury--but it's quite excellent value. I would certainly return.

Fantastic dinner amazing breakfast, including local produce. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay again.
