What surprised us even more was that post check-out, when we were on the way home, we were called by the hotel to let us know that our daughter forgot her teddy in the bed. It would have been an absolute disaster only discovering this when we would have been at home. This proves that even post check-out (and after all was paid for), we had the feeling of being taken care of. Just wonderful.

Set within acres of wooded parkland, this fascinating 13th century fortress is on the banks of the River Esk. we thought we were going to sleep inside the castle, instead we slept in a external dependance that was very nice and big. the bathroom was huge and with a bath tub breakfast and dinner were very good

The camp was in very good condition upon arrival and everything is available as promised. A good mix of camping experience with all facilities available. Perfect for families.

Carolyn was the nicest! The room was huge and modern, for sure a good value for money... If you are thinking of spending a couple of days in Edinburgh I recommend taking this guest house into consideration, even though it is not in the heart of the town by bus you can get to the city center in 30 minutes (there are night buses as well) and at least you can enjoy a nice and comfy room

A beautiful setting with charming and quiet rooms. Great hosts! Restaurants and grocery within walking distance and travel to Edinburgh was easily accessible by bus. A perfect way to wrap up our time in Edinburgh.

Located in Borthwick and only 19 km from University of Edinburgh, Borthwick Farm Cottage Pottery provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The location was brilliant as we were going to a wedding at the castle. The pottery was so cosy and ticked all the boxes, both of the owners were so welcoming and attentive. We even got lucky with the chickens and had fresh eggs! We will definitely be returning. 5*****

Situated in Roslin, the recently renovated Roslin Templar loft features accommodation 11 km from University of Edinburgh and 12 km from Royal Mile. It was lovely decorated everything was clean and modern
