Situato in un edificio del 19° secolo, il Sands Hotel, Orkney si trova lungo le rive di Scapa Flow nel villaggio di Burray. Vanta un bar, un ristorante e splendide viste sul mare. Hotel molto carino e tipico. Camera pulitissima e sufficiente spaziosa sempre provvista di bottiglie d'acqua, tè, caffè, biscotti. Colazione ottima. Vista sulla baia eccezionale. Staff gentile e disponibile. Pub e ristorante buoni. Comodissimo a 10 min dall'imbarco di S.Margaret’s Hope.

Situato a Stromness, a 6 km dal Ring of Brogdar e dalle Pietre erette di Stenness, il Royal Hotel offre un ristorante, un bar e la connessione WiFi gratuita in tutte le aree. Amazing room. Fantastic breakfast with the chef cooking a perfect fried egg for a very fussy person and amazing porridge with rhubarb compote.

The style and decoration of the hotel were lovely and useful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The staff was very thoughtful and kind.

Situato sulle Isole Orcadi, rispettivamente a 22,5 km e a 30 minuti d'auto dalla città e dall'aeroporto di Kirkwall, l'albergo a 3 stelle Smithfield Hotel offre un parcheggio gratuito, un bar e un... L'albergo è delizioso molto curato. La colazione è super. Consiglio vivamente anche il ristorante

Situato sulle rive del Lago di Loch Harray, a 15 minuti di auto dalle principali cittadine di Kirkwall e Stromness, il Merkister Hotel, a conduzione familiare da oltre 30 anni, vanta un parcheggio... Hotel familiare in bellissima posizione su un lago ed in ottima posizione per visitare le orcadi in auto. Ottimo il ristorante.

Good location, clean and modern furniture/bathroom/living room in the apartment. Friendly staff. Good parking.

Situato a Kirkwall, a 2,1 km dalla spiaggia di Scapa, l'Orkney Hotel offre un ristorante, un parcheggio privato gratuito, un bar e un giardino. Orkney hotel is well situated in the heart of Kirkwall, right next to St. Magnus Cathedral and near to the town centre. Staff was warm, friendly and hospitable and even though the check-in was late at midnite, night manager was on guard to provide the keys and helped with the parking of car. The hotel as well as the selected King Room provided the vintage look, along with the artistic poster bed and other furniture. Netflix on a big screens tv in the evenings was good to relax , added by the jacuzzi in the the bath - the icing on the cake ! Breakfast was good though options were limited. Even we were given the small packed breakfast a night before the next day early checkout, which was very thoughtful gesture from the staff. Large selection of whisky at the hotel's bar was attractive. Overall, though pricey esp. in off season but a good stay to spend short time in Kirkwall.

Rustic and charming, exacly what you imagine a once grand hotel from 1901 in a small fishing village on an island in North Atlandic should look like, loved it.

West End Guest House is set in Kirkwall, 1.2 km from Highland Park Distillery. Free private parking is available onsite. Certain rooms feature a seating area for your convenience. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending this guest house. It has excellent staff who all do their jobs in a totally profesional manner, they are a source of lots of useful information about the weather, attractions, buses and even steer you clear of dangereous roads for walkers (traffic on Orkney can be ruthless!) The rooms may intially seem a little dated, but they are well equiped and a great place to get dry. There's an outstanding cooked breakfast which you pre order I found this prevented delays and hearing "we've got your order muddled" which I ecountered in another hotel whilst I was in Scotland. There's also a good range of cereals and fruit -a cornucopia has nothing on this place,
