Whoever started this hotel had a lot of imagination and a great sense of humor! The place is awesome! Bed was comfy, heated floor in bathroom, you get a free welcome drink and a dinner when you arrive, the location is great, the rooftop bar was fun, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful- just cannot say enough! I double- booked a room and I didn't mean to- they refunded the money! I would definitely recommend the place and if ever in Manchester again- we know where we're staying! P/s- don't miss the downtown library- what a treat! Moose Coffee is pretty yummy too

We drove a good distance out of our road to stay at the castle and it was more than worth it. Our only regret was that we didn't spend more time there.

However, it is the staff who make this hotel - they truly went above and beyond to make our stay. Each member of staff was happy, welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. I had mentioned in our booking that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the hotel arranged champagne for us on our first afternoon!

La struttura dove si trova l’hotel è molto bella, le zone comuni molto curate soprattutto l’area bar. La camera molto spaziosa pur ospitando una famiglia di 4 persone, tutto pulito e ordinato. Colazione a buffet completa sua per il dolce che per il salato. La posizione dell’hotel è perfetta per chi come noi vuole visitare lo Yorkshire in autonomia con l’auto

I loved the style of the hotel, its uniqueness and the fact there is so much history in its walls. Very lovely place and beautiful garden facility with stunning seaside view 😍 Food was delicious but small evening menu. Breakfast with a sea view something worth a distance to come and experience. Great team of people I had a chance to meet. They do a lot of improvements too what is very nice to see.

I booked the day before checkin as had to leave an Airbnb close by as wasn’t available for the one night. Arrived early and was upgraded and received an early checkin. Reception staff were ultra helpful and obliging. Room was very clean and well laid out. Had the breakfast on day of checkout and this was good old fashioned greasy spoon stuff as was expected and I really like it. Creaky floorboards and one or two other things could make some to call the hotel dates but this added to the character of a Victorian era building. Great location, great staff, nice room and yummy breakfast - what’s not to like?
