El Hotelito Perdido er et lille jungle-tilflugtssted beliggende midt i nationalparken Rio Dulce. Everything 😊 It’s a little gem of a place in a paradise setting! Food is wonderful and you won’t go hungry that’s for sure. There’s plenty to do and it’s very affordable. The team (staff and owners) is super sweet and always there to help make your stay happy and easy. Thank you for such an amazing stay!!!

Hotel Posada Stella Maris ligger i Puerto Barrios og tilbyder 5-stjernet indkvartering med have og fælles opholdsstue. Der er også concierge-service og legeplads. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar ligger i Izabal, 45 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, terrasse og restaurant. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Livingston Resort Hotel ligger i Lívingston og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Hotellet ligger omkring et par skridt fra North Livingston Beach og 1,4 km fra Capitania Beach. Lovely boutique hotel. Loved the unique style of accommodation. Very friendly staff. Probably best value for money so far on the trip.

Excellent location, great view from room balcony. Boat service direct to dock. Very helpful owner Stuart. Best restaurant in town we encountered.

Ismael is a gem, super helpful and friendly - he really cares about the people coming through his beautiful hotel right on the water, with a gorgeous pier with hammocks to chill in, tube rings to float in and a pier to jump off (if it's not hurricane season, that is). The staff are friendly and helpful, and even got my laundry done for me which was much needed. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have a happy hour. I tried some veggie curry which was beautiful, and the dorm bed I slept in was very comfy. Overall the place is really beautifully designed and maintained, and they offer a boat ride to Rio Dulce right of their dock, which is super convenient. There are small lockers in the dorm.

Hotel El Reformador ligger i Puerto Barrios og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Dette 4-stjernede hotel har gratis wi-fi, roomservice og døgnåben reception. It was centrally located near harbor restaurants. We felt safe there. They had English speaking staff at the front desk and they arranged an English speaking taxi for us that arrived promptly at 6:00 a.m. The room was clean and had plenty of hot water. The building felt very safe.

Nanajuana Río Dulce har restaurant, udendørs swimmingpool, fitnesscenter og bar i Río Dulce. Blandt de forskellige faciliteter på denne ejendom er der fælles opholdsstue, have og grillfaciliteter. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Pool was refreshing- needs a paint but I believe this is about to happen. Room was simple but comfortable. Good shower with hot water. Beds were very comfy. Lovely calm atmosphere. Restaurant and pool look out over the river. Dinner at restaurant was a bit pricey but good quality. Feels safe with a security gate and a long driveway off the main road.

Finca Tatin Hotel ligger midt i junglen, 3 km fra Livingston centrum. Der er stor have, møbleret terrasse og hængekøje. Bungalowerne har tropisk indretning, træmøbler og ventilator. I loved my stay there, amazing place in the middle of the jungle, great atmosphere! They take care of everything. The place has a restaurant and they offer a range of activities (kayak, waterfalls, beach…)
