The kitchen has everything you need, even extra oil, spices, pasta, coffee, in case you miss something. We have not used the gas grill outside though. And the living room has breath taking views, and on top of that, the hut-tub outside.

This property is near Akranes Harbour and 1.3 km from Akranes Museum Centre. It offers a pretty, hedged garden and a large, furnished terrace. Wi-Fi and parking are free. the owners were very nice, they waited for us and gave us tips about the surrounding area the bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and spacious we even had a little breakfast basket in the fridge overall one of our favorite places to stay in Iceland if we will be in the area again we would definitely book a room here!

Such a beautiful place! We had an amazing stay and felt really at home. It is a very welcoming place and the big windows allow a beautiful view. And the kitchen is provided with everything you need.The silence, the snow, the backdrop of the mountain was absolutely magical.

Set in Akranes in the West Iceland region, Bard Cottage features a terrace and garden views. This property offers access to a patio, and free WiFi. Lovely cabin, sufficiently distant from the city to enjoy being in a quiet and peaceful place, but close enough to conveniently drive there (not very far from main road but we couldn't hear or see it from the cabin) and drive to get groceries. It's very well equipped, everything you need is already there. It's also decorated in a very homely manner which makes you feel very at home there, doesn't seem like a rental place. Worked great for us as a starting base for driving around the island while the sun was up and get back to enjoy the hot tub or look for northern lights in the evening.

Staying on a bus is really special! 🙂 The view was wonderful. My sister's favorite things about this place were the horses and the other animals.
