Hótel Vellir is a 3-star property situated on the outskirts of the capital city and only 36 km from the airport. Clean, comfortable room with extra view on the fireworks in the area. The breakfast was quite basic, but fresh and really tasty. The localization was very convenient to us, very nice and helpful staff.

Located in the coastal town of Mosfellsbaer, this hotel is just off Iceland’s scenic Ring Road. Central Reykjavik is 10 minutes’ drive away. Both Wi-Fi and on-site private parking are free. A nice and clean room, 15 minutes by car from the city.

This Viking-themed hotel is located at the harbour in the seaside town of Hafnarfjordur. Humpback whales can sometimes be spotted in the harbour during winter. The staff was really kind and helpfull, the room was clean but small, the decoration is amazing with viking style, the breakfast is good and the restaurant is really tasty

Plenty of parking, lovely owners. Totally hidden gem. Highly recommend.
