Basalt Hotel ตั้งอยู่ในบอร์กาเนส ห่างจากอุทยานแห่งชาติ Thingvellir National Park 43 กม. Absolutely LOVED everything about this hotel. It was classy and modern, but didn't scream 'luxury' in your face. Super quiet, secluded and enwrapped in nature. Fantastic hot tub. Food, staff, vibe, music - everything was just perfect. We would come here to stay for a week to completely unwind. The hike to the waterfalls (ask the staff) was so worth it - so many waterfalls up the hill, one after another! Location is truly far from everything, but it wasn't a problem for us. We enjoyed the road 52 in itself.

Set in Iceland’s Westfjords district, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and basic rooms with free Wi-Fi access. Brjánslækur ferry terminal is a 5-minute drive away. A great place as our last stop in westfjords! There's a N1 gas pump, a free air pump with tire pressure gauge, and a free high pressure washer to clean your car! Just PERFECT after a few days driving on westfjords dirt roads. Nice staff. Nice breakfast. Nice room and comfy beddings. Wifi signal not very good but still useable maybe too many people there.

Luxury beds and power showers are offered at Hótel Egilsen. Baldur Ferry Terminal and boats to the West Fjords and Flatey island are 300 metres away. Wi-Fi is free. The location, the welcome and the design/feeling at the Hotel was exemplary. Very friendly staff greeting us and a warm, comfortable vibe in the lobby area made us feel at home quickly. We had a nice room on the 1st floor that was super cozy and nicely decorated - bed was very nice to sleep on :) Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and delicious.

Set on Flatey Island in the Breidafjördur Bay, this hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Baldur Ferry Terminal that departs from Stykkishólmur. It was a great place to stay on the quiet island.

We wanted solitude with access to hikes, mountains, highlands, waterfalls and glaciers, and we got it. The breakfast was also delicious. The staff is very kind and accommodating. (We love your hospitality, Judith! And it was a pleasure to briefly meet the owner too!)
