He is very knowledgeable about the area and history. A jolly host. All the other staff were friendly and kind.

Locanda Poggioleone is in Pozzuolo, a 10-minute drive from Castiglione del Lago and Lake Trasimeno. It is immersed in nature and offers a garden and an outdoor pool with hot tub. Instead of 2 nights we stayed 5 and based our Tuscan exploration from here as so wonderful! Big thanks to Suzy and Beatrice for their patience and extra help with sorting some things for us. You were wonderful! Michaela is a fantastic chef and recommend the smoked beef and sea bass and breakfasts were lovely. Lorenzo was a great sommelier who made great limoncello spritz! Amazing pool area and beautiful grounds with covered parking and beautiful views of the countryside. Will hopefully return one day from NZ

This boutique, family-run hotel is situated in the beautiful ancient center of Castiglione del Lago, a charming, picturesque village on Trasimeno Lake, in a lush, green part of Umbria. Friendly, welcoming, helpful. Good value with an excellent breakfast.

Located in Castiglione del Lago and with Perugia Cathedral reachable within 28 km, Isola Polvese Resort provides concierge services, allergy-free rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a restaurant. We had a lovely stay at the Polvese resort. The atmosphere on the island was quiet and relaxing, we visited the beach and walked around. The stuff was super friendly, spoke English, and the suite we stayed in was adequate for a family of 2 adults, and 2 little children. We stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast is very good, we chose to eat outside in the shade, it was great. You can park your car on the street or on the large public parking near the ferry for free. The ferry ride to the island takes about 12 minutes, the cost is 4.20 euro per adult. Bear in mind that the last ferry from San Feliciano leaves at 19:00

Set in its garden with furnished patio and surrounded by the countryside, Le Macerine offers free WiFi throughout and a free swimming pool. The hotel was in a very quiet neighbourhood, but very close to the lake and 10 minutes walk from city center. The room was very spacious and it had a big bed. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bathroom was very complete and comfortable. There was a fridge available. The rooms are actually cabins with the door going outside directly, which is very good for COVID. Breakfast was typical Italian with salty and sweet food that you could select yourself. There were some homemade tasty cakes. The staff was incredible friendly; they recommended us good restaurants around and they helped us contact us the bikes rent place after we could not deliver the bikes on time. The parking is wide and it was enough. The hotel had pool and an area to stay and relax.

Located in a peaceful location the historical centre of Passignano Sul Trasimeno, Hotel Trasimeno offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with a balcony. Passignano Train Station is a 5-minute walk away. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice location, 5m walking to the historical area and restaurants. Free parking as a good advantage.

Situated on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, Hotel Kursaal is set among extensive gardens. It offers free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV. The welcome from all the staff on arrival was absolutely 100% after a weary journey from Ireland by air and train/taxi… the owner/principal (Bruno) was excellent with plenty of advice and assistance with getting into nearby Passignano sul Trasimeno… we will be forever thankful to Hotel Kursaal for making our stay in Italy very memorable and fulfilling! Thank you to all at Hotel Kursaal 😄😄🏆🏆

The Belvedere is a family-run hotel in Passignano Sul Trasimeno, on a gentle hill 10 minutes' walk from the centre. lt offers an outdoor swimming pool and free parking. It's an family-run hotel, old but very neat and clean. The owner was extremely friendly and welcomed us as very special guests and met all our needs. The breakfast was simple, yet very delicious, including home-made cakes - yummy! It's 10-15 mins walk from the marina, have a pool, free parking, and there's a supermarket nearby.
