Place is clean and beautiful, everything felt brand new. The host is very responsive and helpful via booking, and an English speaker which felt rare for us. The train from toyama has the most beautiful view and I'm glad we got there by sunlight. The location is great and next to the cable car to murodo to climb Mt. Oyama.

Offering a barbecue and ski-to-door access, Guest House Shiroikiseki is a 7-minute drive from Tateyama Station and set in Awasuno. I had an awesome time getting to know the young family owners and other two guests! Delicious food, great company and close to Tateyama station for the Alpine Route. Even got a pick up and drop off for 1000 yen. Great value!

Located in the Chubu Sangaku National Park, accessible by the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpen Route, Tengudairasansou（天狗平山荘） is set in Tateyama offering breathtaking mountain views and has a restaurant and a... I loved my stay here. The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. They provided snow boots for free when my trainers were too wet and put them in a heated room, so that they could dry. They made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and regularly chatted to me, as I was on my own. The food was very tasty (dinner and breakfast are included in the price) and they provide packed lunch for a fee if needed. The shower was hot and the hot tub was small but lovely to soak in after lots of walking. The room was nice and warm and had a great view of the mountains. They show a documentary about the snow wall. They reserved my bus to Bijodaira for me and because it was raining, they told the bus driver to use the horn when he was outside, so that I could wait inside.

Surrounded by picturesque Northern Alps Mountains, Hotel Tateyama is located 2450 meters above sea level in Tateyama, right in the middle of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The service was awesome! They took great pains to accommodate our group's advance complicated meal requests for the Kaiseki dinner and each and everyone of us enjoyed our dinner through and through. Thank you! We also enjoyed the private snow wall session!
