Located in Shirahama, 1.9 km from Shirarahama Beach, 白浜・温泉リゾート海岳 provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The breakfast portion was very generous, and I ate my fill. There was a variety of dishes, and the tamagoyaki seemed to be freshly made—it was hot. In the morning, having a bowl of miso soup with rice along with various side dishes made my stomach very comfortable. The evening kaiseki meal is also lavish, with very fresh sashimi. I recommend the beef. The hotel also recommends other restaurants and scenic routes.

The castle view was amazing. The location was great since we could not get lost. Early checkin was 2:00 pm and late checkout was 11:00 am, far better than other places we stayed at during our 3 week vacation in Japan.

All staff members showed a genuine attitude of care. The double room we stayed was clean and suitably equipped. Its location best served travellers as it is right next to Wakayama JR station which is an important transport hub in the region.

Hotel vicino ai binari della stazione di Kii-Tanabe, utile come base per iniziare il Kumano Kodo. Avevo la camera dal lato opposto ai binari e non ho sentito alcun rumore. Nelle vicinanze ci sono molti locali e ristoranti per mangiare. La colazione offre scelte dolci e salate, forse un po' scarna, ma non posso lamentarmi visto che era inclusa.

We really didn’t regret our decision at all to spend a night in the peaceful coastal town of Kushimoto with this hotel. We booked a room overlooking the majestic Hashiguiwa rocks and enjoyed the sunrise through the window in the early morning. Warm hospitality by the reception crew. Amazing service. Comfortable lobby. Bedroom has a modern and stylish look. They also separate the toilet space and bathing room which is nice.

We LOVED this huge seaside hotel-- especially the cave onsen. It's got some of that Japan bubble aesthetic, as it was opened in 1956 and updated throughout Japan's boom times. Our room had an incredible view of the sea, and it was fun to just roam around the hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful staff who helped us with everything,good breakfast,amazing onsen (especially the outdoor one-bathing under Sakura trees and to the sound of the waves). Unique Japanese experience. Quiet place a bit outside of town, but regular shuttle there. Overall one of the best stays we had in Japan!
