Directly connected to JR Yamagata Shinkansen (bullet train) Station, Hotel Metropolitan Yamagata offers comfortable guest rooms with warm colours and modern facilities. One of the best hotels I've experienced in Japan. It's at the train station (literally), but the rooms were tranquil, with a nice view of the city and mountains. The reception hall is magnificent. The location couldn't be any better. My room was small but not tiny, and I felt that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. For sure the best place for any Yamagata travellers!
