Gave clear instructions as to how keys were to be left upon leaving. The hotel itself had a warm and charming atmosphere and was well furnished. The beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel had well thoughtout decor, and a good playlist of music in the common areas. Really well put together. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Aluksne. 10/10 The restaurant within the hotel was beautifully decorated. The tables were well dressed, and the food was delicious. Service was top notch! Value for your money spent is well worth it! I found the rooms to be quite affordable. The accomodations were wonderful.

I loved this little place. I think it might be family owned, but it was just so quaint and comfortable. It has one room with a balcony, and I immediately reserved it when I knew I would be stopping in this small town. It wasn't much more expensive, but it made the room bigger, and I could sit outside at night and relax. The breakfast was really excellent. It's not a buffet; you enter the restaurant and your table has been set out for you. It was a big breakfast, and I couldn't eat everything. But I tried. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. I also had something to eat there the evening before, and although the menu wasn't huge, the food was great. The town is very small, but you can walk across a footbridge to an island where there are ancient ruins of a fortress. Sometimes this site is used for concerts and live events, although none were scheduled when I was there. I went for a quick swim in the lake nearby. I discovered a fabulous Latvian beer called Valmiermuiza in this place.

Apartment was clean and felt inviting. Host provided a number of useful items such as tea/coffee, toothbrushes, toiletries etc which we were especially grateful for after travelling. Apartment itself was lovely with a balcony to sit outside an extremely comfy bed! We arrived very late in the evening but the host contacted us beforehand so there was no problem gaining access to the property. Communication in general with the host was brilliant and we would definitely recommend it as somewhere to stay when visiting Aluksne.

Shop to buy some bread and what else you want is around the corner. Thanks to the host ! :) We felt that apartments created with thoughts about facilities for guests
