We had friends staying at a house around the corner, so the location was great for us. It's a little far from town, but walkable. There is a small market across the street, and an excellent restaurant, Aztec that is only a block away. For the price, highly recommend.

This place is paradise! The highlight of our week in Mexico, we felt like we really stumbled on something special! Amaca had everything you want in a Mexican beach holiday but without the crowds, beautiful location, quiet, authentic and friendly local people. The included breakfast was amazing and the beach restaurants had great seafood. Also, if you are a surfer there are uncrowded waves just at your doorstep!

Facing the seafront in Careyes, El Careyes Club & Residences has a private beach area and a garden. Boasting a business centre, this property also provides guests with an outdoor pool. Loved the landscaping, privacy, pools, easy access to the beaches in the area. Very quiet outside of the construction noise (which I think is because we were off season)

The Xinalani Retreat is located in Quimixto, 18 km from Puerto Vallarta, therefore, to access the hotel you can only access by boat, in addition, the transportation service is offered at an additional... We had such a relaxing time for our honeymoon. We participated in daily yoga, did a sweat lodge led by a shaman, hiked every day, and observed nature. We loved sleeping to the sound of the ocean waves. The trip to and from Xinalini went very smoothly and it was quite the adventure!

La Paloma Oceanfront Retreat is located in Melaque and offers direct access to the beach, an outdoor swimming pool. The rooms are decorated with a Mexican colonial style: full of colourful details. This is absoultly a great place to stay and relax. The facilities are in top notch shape nothing is in need of repair, everything you need is there and in great shape. The grounds are nothing short of perfect and the location to get groceries, dinners (meals) local beach and stores is only a max 5 minute walk. The staff are super friendly and tended to our every need. We as a travelling couple in our 50's that have traveled around both coasts of Mexico this winter to some 17 different locations have found this property to be the best we have seen yet. They set and keep a very high standard at an affordable price point.
