I didn't expect that the apartment that I rent was that big. It is excellent and it face directly to the sea (west). The place is not totally isolated, there are some houses nearby. Still, you will need a car. The bed is okay, just the top bunk bed is squeaky. Other facility is also work like brand new. If you have the intention to catch the aurora, it will not be as easy as going out to your balcony and saw one. In most of the time, you will need to go to a slightly remote area. The balcony facing west when normally aurora spread from north to south. You can walk a bit in the neighbourhood but behind the apartment, there's a hill that will block the way. Again, it might not always happened likat what I describe. You must have your car and hunt the aurora to a dark area where there is no light. And, if you stay here, we are only talking about 2 to 10 Km away to find such location.

The apartment was waiting for us with a key in the door so we could enter it whenever we wanted. The kitchen was fully equipped, including basic seasoning, olive oil, tea, baking paper, and plastic bags. The host was very responsive whenever we needed something.

The hosts are incredibly welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that we had everything I needed and that I was having a great time. They even gave me some tips on things to see and do in the area and how to see aurorae. In the evenings, we would relax in the apartment and enjoy the peace and quiet. I would often sit on the balcony and watch the sunset over the fjord. It was truly magical. Overall, I had an amazing stay at the Loghouse apartment in Kvaløya. It's the perfect place to experience the beauty of the Arctic wilderness. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation.

The host is very friendly and super easy to communicate, always reply quickly. We got clear instructions about keys. Apartment is very spacious and clean, we have everything needed. In addition, you get beautiful view on the sea and fjords, and in the evening you have a perfect spot for aurora!!!
