The location is unreal. The view of the farmland and valleys and volcanos in the distance is everything. We saw one of the best sunrises ever. Angus greeted us on arrival and it was clear how much pride he has in his land and how much he enjoys sharing it with others.

Just 600 metres from the famous Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, this award-winning holiday park features a large swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, BBQ area and a children’s playground with trampoline. Very clean and the apartment had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Waitomo Retreat has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Hangatiki, 10 km from Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. The instructions were emailed to me before arrival. The facilities were perfect. Loved all aspects of it. Everything was clean and neat. Small kitchen and sink facilities were great. Loved sitting out on the deck and enjoying the peacefulness of the countryside.
