Located right on the beach, Hokitika Beachfront Hotel offers rooms with cable TV and en suite bathrooms. It features an on-site restaurant and a bar. The staff was very friendly. The location is perfect. There is also a beach view from the restaurant.

Opened in 2014 and offering 20 luxurious rooms with free WiFi, Franz Josef Oasis is just 10 minutes’ drive from the Franz Josef Glacier. This is a really beautiful location, out of town and incredibly peaceful. It had a lovely garden with mountains behind.

Surrounded by natural rainforest on New Zealand's West Coast, Te Waonui Forest Retreat is a short drive from Franz Josef Glacier. Guests enjoy free WiFi. A lovely stay for a couple of nights. Complimentary drink and hot towel on arrival is a nice touch. Free bottled mineral water each day we were there. The location is stunning and the staff were are lovely and professional. Close walk to nearby amenities. Only thing that would have made it better is if the spa was opened during winter time.
