We have stayed at this hotel for three days during our trip to Iquitos (province of Loreto, Peruvian Amazonia). The hotel is located in 5 minutes by a motocarro (tuk-tuk) ride from Iquitos ENAPU ferry terminal where all boats arriving from Peruvian border village Santa Rosa berth at and 400 m away from the city's famous landmark Ferrous House and very close to the Itaya riverbank promenade. All buses going to the local lake and leisure area Quistoqocha stop some steps aside the hotel's entrance door. - My and my friend's rooms were clean and tidy, cleaning was done everyday. - All facilities in the rest room were functioning OK, there was hot water in the shower. - Hearty breakfasts were served everyday with a choice of cooked eggs (omelette, fried egg, scrumbled egg with cheese, tomatoes or pork), bread with butter and jam, fruit salads, tropical fruit juices and a choice of coffee (black or with milk). - The receptionist Andre spoke a very good English and was ready to help. - The lady who owned the hotel was polite and kind, she was exchanging us USD into Peruvian currency at a good rate, helped to catch a bus passing by a park with local Amazon animals, fish and plants and before our departure gave a repellent tube to use it on our way back to Colombia.

The food is prepared beautifully, though the chicken is much better than the beef. The daily trips through the jungle, on the river, bird watching, fishing, visits to local villages, dolphin watching, stargazing were ALL fantastic and made the trip, well worth the inconveniences.

They genuinely are happy to help. The hotel is very clean, safe, breakfast included and centrally located just 3 blocks from main square. Rooms are very spacious, queen bed and most importantly with AC. Pharmacies and the supermarket Portales are just 1 block away. They are very flexible with the bookings and, in my case, due to a flight delayed, they allowed us to change the dates of the booking in a very attentive way.

Set in Iquitos, 25 km from Santa Teresa, Hotel Garden House features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Omgosh I love The Jungle House!! The staff is impeccable and extremely hospitable.. The room was fabulous, the most comfortable bed maybe even more comfortable than my king size bed at home, The pool was cute, the room and bathroom extremely clean and the location was perfect. I will definitely be coming back my next stay in Iquitos. Recommend!!!!
