This design hotel overlooks the Bay of Porto da Barra and is situated on Graciosa Island, a 5-minute walk from Porto Da Barra Beach. There is an outdoor pool surrounded by gardens. The staff at the Inatel were very professional. Offering suggestions on where to eat and how to best get around. As we did not speak Portuguese, everyone spoke English and assisted us with the many questions we had. We were told of a taxi who would take us on a tour, as we wanted to experience and see the island of Graciosa. What spectacular views and the driver Sonia was so knowledgeable about the many sights and sounds we heard. Our room was spotless, and although there were four of us, they enough linens and pillows for us to sleep on. The Breakfast was more than adequate, in fact it was our favourite. The variety of fruits, cereals, juices and not to mention the coffee. Wow! we had so much to choose from. The cheese and bread was exactly how it was previously described to us. I must also mention that the two waitresses performed their duties with pride and most important a smile. As we had travelled from Bermuda, they like others were curious as to which country we came from. How pleasant the ladies were and very kind. I will admit, that our children enjoyed the pool, and us as adults, loved the views, animals and the broad walk. Inatel management had taken great lengths to see that our stay was enjoyable and without incident. Thank you ! and well done Inatel, I will be recommending this hotel to our family and friends. The room was pretty big and every bed had their own locker and the room has a private bathroom which is very clean, modern.

Set in Santa Cruz da Graciosa in the Graciosa region, Moniz House has a patio. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Perfectionist accommodation (in the good sense). A lot of useful devices are available. Functioning, high standard. I wish them the kind of "high quality" guests who will appreciate all this.

Steffen and Karen went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The large garden is exceptional and we appreciated being encouraged to use it freely. The cottage is clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the welcome pack. Steffen and Karen were very accommodating when our flight time changed at the last minute, which was very much appreciated. They provided lots of information about the island, which helped us plan our week, spent exploring the island on foot and by bus. The cottage is conveniently placed for good walks, the bus stop and the local Graciosa is a lovely island to unwind and enjoy the countryside.

The location was easily accessed and on a quieter part of the island. Although still within a short walk of a supermarket and taxi stands. The grounds and views are incredible. The cottages are newly renovated and in excellent upkeep. The location receives ocean breezes and was very comfortable during the time of our stay. The arrangement of the cottages provides for ample privacy. Kitchen facilities and refrigerator are a plus. Our hosts were kind and made us feel welcome from the start, checked in on us while not being intrusive.
