Featuring a garden and terrace, as well as a restaurant, AHISKA PALAS OTEL is located in Kars. The accommodation provides room service and a 24-hour front desk for guests. The location is smack in the middle of Kars, just under Kars castle and central to lots of restaurants. You're not going to beat this location with any other hotel, bar none. The hotel is new and in a super-nicely converted building (it's unclear what it was - but perhaps a large barn or stables of some sort) and it combines rustic features of old stone with nice new, warm wood. The rooms were nicely sized and comfortable and the bathrooms modern with all the amenities we were looking for. The hotel is adjoined to a popular cafe in Kars (which is also owned by them) and served up an overwhelming traditional Turkish breakfast everyday. Super value in this.

Excellent hotel, almost brand new and a great value! The staff is very polite and helpful. The room is good size with all amenities and excellent sound proofing. I was able to park my motorcycle in the underground garage so that was excellent. The breakfast was outstanding with a huge selection of everything and a fresh omelette station too.

We loved how welcoming and hospitable the staff was towards us! Whatever request we had, they tried hard to meet it! They also carried out extra efforts to make our Christmas a special one! Serkan was a very friendly staff member who was quick to answer to any questions we had and helped us out all the time...including whilst skiing! The room is also very cosy and the food was always plentiful and good. Definitely a hotel to recommend!

Very friendly inn-keeper and friendly staff. Helpful. Room was big and bright. Well protected againgst street noise. The breakfast room was modern and the food was well presented.

The location is just 15 minutes away from the airport. we arrived late, but they helped us by giving us by surprise the wonderful and big suite. The staff is very helpful and breakfast from top of the hotel gives a beautiful view over the city and mountain. In just a 200 meters from the hotel there is a bazaar with great smelling herbs and sweets. I would recommend to take a taxi to Harput Castle, it’s 20 minutes. The water dam is almost 1 hour, with the taxi it’s gonna cost you just 700/800 TL. Conclusion; do not only use Elazig Airport as a stop over, but stay at least two nights in the New Marathon Hotel and enjoy the staff and the city.
