Situated at the edge of Kibale National Park; on Fort Portal – Kamwenge Road, Kibale Guest Cottages offers free WiFi access, a children's playground and has a garden. Especially the staff, both the owner and Fred were wonderful, we had great talks with them! The romms are very nice and clean. The pool table in the bar is nice for the evenings. The location is great, in pure nature, very close to nature and community walks- highly recommended as well as the Chimpanzee tracking.

The property was very clean, newly painted, lots of flowers in the inner courtyard around which all the rooms are situated. The staff were very courteous, nothing was impossible for them and they understood all our requirements very well. Even though they didn't have a campfire facility, they promptly arranged some firewood and lit one in the carpark itself for us to chill. They really showed that we are quite valued to them. Toilets are clean, well equipped with hot and cold water with high pressure on the tap. Very clean sheets and towels.

Offering views of the gardens and the Ruwenzori Mountain, Dutchess Hotel and Restaurant is situated in Fort Portal, a quiet place just outside the city centre. The Dutchess is a great hotel centrally located in Fort Portal. The staff is very attentive and the food at their restaurant is delicious and offers a great variety. The WiFi is working very well and the rooms are clean and equipped with mosquito nets. We would definitely stay here again next time.
