Idaho Falls is a very walkable town with a Japanese garden down by the river and some iconic old buildings, some repurposed now. We missed the Art gallery which was closed by the time we got there but the wide open streets and old buildings are very pleasant to walk around. The falls provide quite a spectacle and the whole river front area has been landscaped into something very attractive. A LDS temple provides a focal point for memorable photos of the falls. It's peaceful to walk along the river and families enjoy biking etc without it being a kids playground. Some of the shops are very interesting with period clothing and other memorabilia as well as 'proper' shops. The civic buildings are great. There are a couple of good restaurants we saw and one we sampled near the Roadaway hotel on the other side of the river from the city centre. Need to go back.
Coeur d'Alene is a dynamic gem with loads of exciting history. There are so many attractions and opportunities in the downtown sector of the city and the surrounding natural wonder of the region, in order to get the most out of your vacation. You can experience the attractiveness of the whole area first hand with the restaurants and bars, flight tours with a float plane, lake tours with a large vessel, parasailing and shopping trips. The North Idaho Museum is highly recommended and the Cataldo Mission, which is around 20 miles East of the city, is an admirable and stunning piece of American history in the Pacific Northwest. The mission is the oldest in Idaho and was built in 1848. Silverwood Amusement Theme Park will also take your breath away! The theme park is located around 15 miles to the North of the city. There are plenty of things to do here and you won't be disappointed. Take it from me!
Lewiston and across the river neighbor communities offer a little bit of everything for all ages. Folks with sensitive noses or first time to the area travelers will notice a distinctive odor from the pulp mill. Aside from the occasional waft of local economy, there are historical, cultural, sporting and family activities to keep you busy. The area offers a bit of every cuisine, breweries and wineries for the traveler and activities for the outdoor enthusiast to enjoy. This is a part of the Idaho experience that everyone can enjoy.
Pokey is a great mid size city. It has a couple malls that make for great shopping. Many restaurants to choose from and people are friendly. Easy hop on/off from interstate to get around Pokey or you can drive through city and easily learn "shortcuts" without the use of interstate. Idaho State Univ. is in the area. Nice to travel through and look at the neighborhoods. Fuji Japanese Steakhouse is delicious--your food is prepared right in front of you. Also, Perkins has great food and is easy to get to. It is right off the exit. There are several nice parks and pretty views--foothills of Rockies.
Sandpoint Idaho is always a friendly place. Great Pubs/bars, restaurants, all walking distance from La Quinta Motel. Variety of shops. And, of course the Lake! You can walk down to the public beach and it is just lovely, lake, mountains and park.
For a capital city Boise is very accessible and compact. Downtown is packed full of bars, restaurants and cafes covering any type of food you can think of. Most of the bars stock locally brewed beers, ales and ciders (average proof 8.5) and some even distill their own gin! Beware! Outside Boise the Rocky Mountains await and I can recommend a trip to the Idaho City Springs. Lovely warm water and snow on our heads. Magical!
My oldest daughter attends the University of Idaho in Moscow. We love it up here! Everyone is super helpful and friendly and the cute little college town is beautiful!
Twin Falls is a great town to visit. Idaho is wonderful. This is a good hotel for staying. Breakfast is so so. People come with bed hair and gross habits but we usually go for coffee and milk. Not a good part of staying at a motel. Wish they would not provide breakfast and charge less. Part of traveling now. People sneaking dogs and cats into rooms is not fair to folks like us that don't care for pets and have allergies.
We did not view places as we were just overnighting at a motel close to the interstate, but I did view things to do in Idaho Falls and area on internet, and watched a video, impressive
We had an absolutely wonderful experience in Idaho falls. We didn’t anticipate staying but had vehicle issues over Easter weekend. The hospitality from locals at Baptist Calvary Church was above & beyond. We were invited for Easter dinner with a remarkable family. We had a couple referrals for auto repair shops. For timing we chose Wally’s auto care center. They were amazing to deal with & had exceptional service (free loaner car; no charge to diagnose few issues & repair ceased park brake). Highly recommended! We enjoyed our walk along the river & had supper at Jalisco’s Mexican restaurant beside the falls. Great food with large portions, friendly & helpful service & perfect location to watch falls. Thank you for making our unforeseen circumstances one of the most pleasant & accommodating.
Nice small town, clean and safe even during the nights. Walk everywhere. Short walk from Amtrak railway station. Staff extremely helpful when during last day Amtrak cancelled our train due to floods in Montana. Hotel offered not to charge for the last night as we did not sleep there. Gave us their contact for a transfer (during the night) from Sandpoint Idaho to Spokane WA airport. As the hotel was booked through third party (booking.com) now the refund depends on booking.com. Hint: Book with hotel directly...
Stated in an accessible room and it was perfect. The setup of the bathroom really worked well for taking a shower. Room was very roomy and had tons of room for maneuvering which was extremely nice. Most hotels just add grab bars in the bathroom to make the room “accessible” this room was thoughtfully designed to accommodate mobility. Well done Tru and Hilton. We come to Idaho Falls often and this will be our go to place to stay.
Breakfast coming from another time zone was terrible. Mold on the shower curtain. Air condition unit didn’t work. Ice machine was broke. Spa was dirty. Wayyyy over priced. Pictures on website obviously were from a different location. We stay in a best western plus in Orofino Idaho that kills this place, in every way. Won’t stay here again. Terrible to say, in a town that boasts tourism. 350 bucks for a 2 star hotel at best.
I stay in Idaho Falls once a month. I have found my hotel. The room was newly renovated. It was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice. The sitting area was a nice bonus. It's nice for when I come alone or when I am with my husband and son. The staff was very friendly. The room was quiet and very cozy. The location by the freeway is wonderful. It's a great value for the lovely room.
The hotel is in a great location, was quiet, and the room was very clean and with everything one might need. We were greeted by very friendly staff. We also liked the breakfast. Specially, the Idaho potatoes! The staff was very promptly replenishing anything that was getting low in quantity (milk, yogurt, etc.). All in all, a great experience! We would like to stay there again.
This is the second time in four days we’ve been screwed by booking.com. In Kellogg Idaho while driving into the town the hotel called and said they were overbooked and had no room. Last night in Idaho Falls all your pictures of the Roadway in were reAlly of the Quality Inn next door and not of the building they put us in. I call that false advertising.
I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Idaho Falls, and this hotel was the BEST! It may not be tall and fancy, but it was super clean, affordable, beautiful location and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and kitchen was so clean and all the food looked amazing. I definitely will stay at this hotel every time I am in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The room was clean and the property is maintained well. The other guests at the hotel were primarily families that were traveling with pets. The hotel is away from the main streets in Idaho Falls and very quiet. There are two large pieces of grass on the property for dog walking.
Came from California to move our son into Idaho. This town house was so close and convenient to his apartment. It had everything we needed. The host was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable and if we were lacking in anything they were a phone call away.
Idaho Falls
Bagged breakfast both days was sufficient and tasty! Or room was closest to apartment building, but all was quiet. The musty room smell was most likely the carpet! For the room cost, we were pretty much satisfied and would, if in Idaho Falls again, stay again.
1st time in Idaho it was good hotel was nice room color was sweet small TV kind of sucks but everything else was pretty good. Didn't get in pool but I should of just for the experience. The convenience for my trip and restaurants being close was awesome.
Being located right across the street from the Idaho State University campus was a definite plus, very helpful to go for a walk, and when travelling with a dog, it was nice to have grass to walk on. It is within walking distance of a number of restaurants.
Breakfast and coffee was hot and just right, location is perfect in getting to many businesses easily. I would and will again choose over the other 3 to 4 star hotels in area. Only complaint is another location be in chubbuck Idaho also😁
New hotel with clean pleasant rooms. Loved the local art in the room. Laundry facility a bonus. Quiet in a good location next to Idaho Center. Pleasant desk staff. Easy to extend our stay. Nice resting place after cross country move.
Fantastic room, comfortable, well appointed, spacious. Room and hotel was very clean throughout. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location great for Yellowstone. Would recommend and would definitely stay again if back in Idaho.
The room was updated with a roomy bathroom/shower. Loved the cocktail bar/breakfast bar offering. Price seemed high for Boise Idaho, not sure why hotel rooms have become so expensive. Good location, easy parking.
It was clean and comfortable. They had it well supplied for my stay with great instructions for wifi and TV. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone coming to Idaho Falls. It was far more enjoyable than any hotel!!
This is our 2nd time staying here. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and has a great breakfast. We love travelling to the yellowstone area and staying in Idaho Falls I will continue to book at the LeRitz.
Breakfast was great. We were in Idaho to go to Silverwood, which was a very easy drive from the hotel. The room was nice, and I liked having a "kitchen" sink. Staff was very nice.
I love this hotel! While working here as a nurse in Idaho! This is the only hotel I will stay and relax at! Nice! Clean! And so much to do here in the hotel! Great price!
