After a long and at times difficult drive from San Francisco our welcome on arrival was warm. Avoid Deer Flat Road and Murderous Gulch where the winding sheer-drop mountain road, we believe from the gold rush era, is barely the width of your car. You will age driving it! The loft room was accessed from outside and was HUGE. We loved the 'log cabin décor' and the facilities within the 'suite' (it's so much more than a room). The co-owners/staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful and arranged a great packed-lunch for our visit to Yosemite Valley. The bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast available in our room was lovely with organic healthy items. We could see ourselves staying here longer and exploring more of the area and trying some of the activities this lodge can arrange. We think that a winter visit would be awesome. There were BBQ facilities that you could use, and the TV provided access to everything that you could want. The local town of Groveland was a delight and the Mexican restaurant just a short walk down the main street was great as was the 'Iron-Door Saloon; both provided great food and great atmosphere. We suspect you never need to leave Groveland for refreshments!

Yosemite Westgate Lodge features a restaurant, an outdoor seasonal pool and spacious rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen satellite TV. It is 19 km from the west gate entrance of Yosemite National Park. Comfortable room and with fridge and microwave. Staff very kind and plenty of parking lots. There is a swimming pool and spa which were very clean. I strongly recommend this place.

Welcome to Hotel Lumberjack, proudly located in historic Sonora, California. Our hotel offers a newly envisaged Americana Motel experience inspired by the rich Lumberjack culture. The room was well-equipped and modern. Everything was clean and the decor was minimalistic but very charming. The personnel were helpful and we had no problems checking in or our. We actually liked it so much we stayed one more night. The town of Sonora is idyllic and there's plenty of shops and some shorter outdoor trails for those into hiking.

Built in 1859, this historic Jamestown hotel has its own house ghost and features an on-site restaurant and bar. Rooms include antique furniture and Yosemite National Park is 24 miles away. Food good, I loved the hotel like stepping back in time. First hotel i've stayed without a TV and kettle and it was great.

The desk staff were all nice and helpful. The helped us out on several occasions. The downtown area is there for strolling , shopping, eating and bar hopping. Breakfast was nice, coffee was hot, food acceptable for a classic hotel self serve offering.

Between Sonora and Jamestown on the main Hwy 108, Hotel Country Inn Sonora is 1.6 km from Central Sonora. The hotel offers seasonal outdoor pool and free WiFi in all guest rooms and the public areas. Very comfortable bed, very clean room. Staff was very nice and helpful. The location is great close to the highway but not loud.
