We arrived at the Ngalali Retreat after a long drive and Xander and staff helped us feel at home immediately. After a hearty lunch Xander introduced us to our first safari experience of the African bush. Xander is a true naturalist who, over the course of the next few days, generously shared his knowledge, passion and experience of the land and wildlife that surrounded us. At the end of each day Xander joined us for exceptional Italian cuisine and helped us to process the days adventures with interesting anecdotes of his own. Our day in the actual Kruger Park paled in comparison. The Ngalali Retreat accommodations were very comfortable with all the comforts of home. What can I say - we slept well each night and arose rested, with fresh anticipation. The whole experience more than exceeded our expectation.

Amazing place. The tents are very comfortable and tastefully furnished and decorated. The common areas too. It was a pleasure to come back for a hot drink there after a safari. We stayed 2 days and the elephants came twice to drink at the waterhole. The staff were so kind. The guides were awesome. Gave us unforgettable memories of dozens of beautiful animals and lots of interesting facts and real/life stories. The food - meals and breakfasts - delicious. We loved everything. Everything was very clean, both the tents and the common areas.

Tutto meraviglioso. Intimo, accogliente, silenzioso. I game sono stati sorprendenti. Il personale del camp gentilissimo:)

Un paradiso immerso nella savana , nulla da aggiungere. Tutto perfetto , attenzioni al cliente massime , personale squisito , cibo ottimo e sopratutto vario ( ogni giorno colazione pranzo e cena alla carta con scelte sempre diverse ) selezione di Vini ottima. L’organizzazione della giornata è il giusto compromesso per godersi la savana e rilassarsi allo stesso momento . Vorrei tornarci già ora !!!!
