The Thatch House Hermanus is located on the banks of the Hermanus Lagoon. This boutique hotel boasts an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court. we stayed at the Thatch house flamingo suite for our honeymoon and the place was fantastic . Everything was perfect , staff very friendly . Definitely will visit the place in future .

A magical place to stay. Amazing service, beautiful rooms and delicious breakfast. Very helpful and friendly manager and staff.

The Hotel is powered by an inverter and solar panels for full service during load shedding times. The rooms have lighting outside on their patio's as well as inside the rooms. Everything was arranged perfectly! The room was clean, the beds were super comfortable, the staff was very helpful, and the atmosphere in the garden was very peaceful (even better than in the pictures). Would definitely stay again!!!

The location is second to none, incredible ocean and mountain vistas almost wherever you look, but what really made this experience something special are the staff, they are attentive, engaging and friendly. What really struck me about the staff is how much they actually care about your experience, always asking “can I help you with x” or “we can do y if that’s better for you” etc without skipping a beat!

It offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and features full spa facilities, a swimming pool and a restaurant.... The hotel is amazing! Old school charm! Perfect location. Stunning view. Big, comfortable room (even with complimentary old time Sherry). Friendly staff. Very nice breakfast and dinner. I want to go back yearly!
